New Jersey Pride Events are a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and equality, bringing communities together to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community. From bustling parades to lively festivals, New Jersey offers a wide range of exciting events that showcase the spirit and resilience of its LGBTQ+ residents and allies.

These pride events create a safe and inclusive space for people to express themselves, celebrate their identities, and promote acceptance and understanding. Whether you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community or a passionate ally, New Jersey Pride Events are a colorful and uplifting experience that foster unity and pride in the Garden State.

Princeton Community Pride Picnic
May 31, 4:30 pm – 7 :30 pm
The Fourth Annual Princeton Community Pride Picnic will be held on May 31 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at Hinds Plaza. Attendees will enjoy music, fun, food, and more. In case of rain, the event will move inside the library. Following the picnic, the festivities will continue with a Pride Dance Party at 7:30 PM across the street at the Arts Council of Princeton.

Scotch Plains Pride In The Park

OC Pride Fest
June 1,9 am – 1 pm
Starting at 9 a.m. at Sixth Street and the Boardwalk, join special guest Michael J. Hartman for an opening ceremony and Pride Walk. SOMA Equality March and Youth Pride Kick off
June 2, 10:30 am – 2 pm
The SOMA Equality March and Youth Pride Kick-Off is on June 2, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Starting at 10:30 AM at Ricalton Square and ending at Maplewood Town Hall, the march invites everyone to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community with vibrant decorations and spirited unity. Following the march, a Youth Pride Picnic will be held at 12:30 PM at The Gazebo on Springfield Ave, offering games, music, and picnic food in a festive atmosphere.

Livingston Pride Picnic
June 2, 12 pm – 5 pm
Organized by Shiv’s Third Eye, the free, public event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 at the Livingston Oval and gazebo. It will include music, crafts, food, games and other activities.

Jersey Pride LGBTQ+ Pride Festival
June 2, 12 pm – 7 pm
New Jersey’s Annual Statewide LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration will be held in-person on Sunday, June 2, 2024. It is the largest, and oldest, LGBTQ Pride Celebration in the garden state, with attendance under normal circumstances surpassing 20,000. The parade, passing through the center of host city and shore destination Asbury Park, has grown throughout the years. Floats, decorated vehicles, marching bands, and enthusiastic marchers are cheered on by spectators that line the parade route. Against a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, and New Jersey’s famous boardwalk, national headliners and local artists share the rally stage for a six hour outdoor concert.

Bergen County Pride Flag Raising
June 3, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
On June 3 at 5:30 PM, the Pride Flag Raising will be held at the Gazebo Flagpole at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. The event will be followed by a Resource Festival featuring music by DJ Ray, refreshments, information, giveaways, and more. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Annex.

HT Pride

The Haddon Township Parade “STRUT with PRIDE event” will take place on Haddon Avenue between Crystal Lake Ave. and Strawbridge Ave. The Starting Line for the parade will be sent to confirmed participants and is just a short walk from the parade. Mark your calendars for the HT PRIDE PARADE + AFTER PARTY, taking place on Thursday, June 6th, from 6-10 p.m. along Haddon Avenue (RSVP via Facebook). This year’s parade promises to be a vibrant showcase of LGBTQ+ and ally performers, organizations, and community volunteers, coming together to create an unforgettable parade experience. Starting at the corner of Crystal Lake and Haddon Avenues, the parade will culminate in a festive after-party at Haddon Square, featuring music, entertainment, dancing, food, and drinks.

Continue the celebration with on Friday, June 7th, for the HT PRIDE + PROGRESS COMMUNITY NIGHT from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Haddon Square (RSVP via Facebook). This event is an open invitation to the community and beyond to embrace and celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in all its forms. It’s an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of LGBTQ+ pioneers and immerse yourself in LGBTQ+ history, all while enjoying the company of local LGBTQ+-friendly vendors and allies. The evening will be enriched with educational and celebratory resources, Pride Quizzo, performances, and the much-loved Drag Queen Lip Sync Battles.

Pride In Pitman
June 8, 8 am – 3 pm
Join the Pride Alliance of Pitman in celebration and honor of LGBTQIA+ people past, present, and future at the PRIDE in Pitman event. The event will feature food, music, and lots of great vibes, with the addition of a beer garden this year. It will start at 8:00 AM with a Rainbow Fun Run and Costume Contest, followed by Seeds of Love yoga at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, food and craft vendors and local organization tents will open, alongside a Dance Fitness session. The welcome and guest speakers will commence at 11:00 AM, followed by Drag Queen Story Time at 11:30 AM. Live music will play at 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM, with a Dance Party in the Courtyard starting at 1:30 PM.

Sussex County Pride is set to take place on June 8th, and the organizers are thrilled to announce the event. Commencing at 12pm on the Newton Green, the community will gather to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month in a safe and proud manner. The festivities will showcase an exciting lineup of attractions, including captivating drag performers, live music performances, inspirational speeches from community leaders, LGBTQ+ vendors, tabling organizations, and a host of other exciting activities.

The event, celebrating their rainbow past, present, and future, will begin at 11:00 AM with a Rainbow Flag Raising and Ceremony. Pride Under The Stars returns to Spiotta Park on Friday, June 14th, at 8 PM. Join North Jersey Pride, South Orange Downtown, and South Orange Village for an unforgettable PRIDE celebration. This 21+ event, hosted by the fabulous Honey Marie, will feature beats by DJ Sanchico, a 360 photo booth, and a cash bar.

While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to consider making a donation to North Jersey Pride at the event. North Jersey Pride, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ youth and families through programming and events in the Garden State. The rain date for this event is Friday, June 21.

Frenchtown is proud to host its sixth Annual Frenchtown PRIDE, celebrating love and acceptance for all, including the queer community. The event begins on June 15 with a Pride Flag Giveaway at Frenchtown United Methodist Church from 1 PM to 3 PM, followed by the installation of pride flags downtown on June 16. Other highlights include Queer Kickball on June 18 and Pride Chalking on June 20. The festivities culminate on June 22 with the World’s Shortest Pride Parade and a post-parade picnic at Sunbeam Lenape Park. All residents and visitors supporting equality are encouraged to join.
