NJIB’s Guide to New Jersey September Beer Events & Festivals:

BBQ & Craft Beer Festival
August 30 – September 1

The annual BBQ & Craft Beer Festival returns to Monmouth Park this Labor Day weekend for three days of delicious BBQ and craft beer. Attendees can savor over 40 craft beers brewed in New Jersey and enjoy a variety of BBQ favorites, including ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Food trucks will start serving around 11 am, and beer garden sampling tickets are available for $15, which includes 10 two-ounce samples. Sampling runs from 11:30 am to 5 pm, with ticket sales and check-in from 11:30 am to 4 pm; day-of ticket purchases are cash only. Live music will entertain from 12 to 4 pm each day, and on Saturday and Sunday, families can enjoy free activities such as clowns, face painting, pony rides, and a bounce house from 12 to 4 pm in the picnic area. Tickets for general admission and sampling can be purchased in advance at seatgeek.com/monmouth to save 15%.

Bikes & Beers
September 6, 8 am

Hosted by Birdsmouth + Beer from Bakes Brewing, Bikes & Beers features a 15, 30, and 45-mile ride departing from BIRDSMOUTH BEER and traveling through the beautiful area of Monmouth County, NJ. All rides feature morning fuel stations, fully marked routes, GPS turn-by-turn instructions, rest stops, refreshments, ride marshals, and SAG support. Finish back at BIRDSMOUTH BEER for a festival of rewarding craft beers from BIRDSMOUTH and BAKES BREWING, live music, a charity raffle & much more! All riding levels are welcome. The event benefits local charity partners.

Boonton Brewfest
September 6, 12 pm – 5 pm, Rain or Shine

Now in its annual tradition, Boonton Brewfest brings together 30+ local craft breweries from across New Jersey, offering a wide range of brews, wine, and adult beverages and new this year, mocktails, in a festive, community-focused atmosphere. Music lovers will enjoy a lively soundtrack featuring From The Ground (Point Pleasant Beach) and Hill Street House (Boonton), along with games like cornhole, bocce ball and yard pong. Food trucks, local vendors offering food from various cuisines, an artisan market, a wine sampling tent, and branded merchandise round out the offerings. New this year, The Festival will also include wine tastings, mocktails, hard seltzers and ciders. This event is 21+

WMGK Brew Blast
September 6, 1 pm – 5 pm
The MGK Brew Blast invites guests to join the 102.9 WMGK air staff for an afternoon of craft beer sampling, live music, and scenic riverfront views aboard the Battleship New Jersey. Featuring over 50 brews from favorites like Slacktide Brewing Co., New Trail Brewing Co., Yards Brewing Co., Weihenstephan Brewery, Bitburger Brewery, Cape May, MudHen, Flying Fish, New Belgium, and Double Nickel, the event also showcases live classic rock from MGK’s House Band, Bambu Weasel, on the ship’s tented deck. Tickets include a free tour of the Battleship New Jersey, available for use at a later date, with food offered for purchase throughout the event.

Bolero Block Party Craft Beer and Music Fest
September 6 & 7, 4 pm

The Bolero Block Party Craft Beer and Music Fest is a lively celebration bringing together craft beer enthusiasts and music lovers for a day of fun. Hosted by Bolero Snort Brewery, the festival features a wide variety of local brews, delicious food options, and live music performances that keep the energy high all day long. Guests can enjoy tastings from some of the best breweries in the region while soaking in the festive atmosphere filled with entertainment, community spirit, and good vibes. Headliners are the Get Up Kids on Sept 6 and Andy Frasco & the UN on September 7.

Sippin’ on Station is an annual wine and food festival held every fall in Haddon Heights, NJ. Burlington Hops and Rocks Beer/Music Festival and 5K
September 13, 12 pm – 5 pm

Annual festival held in September on the Delaware Riverfront Promenade in Historic Burlington City New Jersey. Featuring beer tastings from 20+ craft breweries, live music performed by local musicians and food trucks offering a good selection of culinary options. The day starts off with an optional 5k run/walk organized by Burlington Running Club. The 5K course is flat and fast through beautiful historic Burlington with gorgeous views of the Delaware River.

Highlands Fall Brew by the Bay
September 13, 12 pm – 5 pm

The tasting will be held on the picturesque waterfront, with tickets priced at $40 and including seven 4 oz. tastings plus a pint of craft beer. Additional tastings will be available at the event for $3 each. Each brewery will offer two beers to sample, and guests can enjoy the scenic views alongside fire pits and cuisine from Cuts & Catch, available for an additional fee.

Ready to kick off the fall season with one of Hackettstown’s biggest town-wide events of the year? Join the Hackettstown BID, Czig Meister Brewing Company, Grand Avenue Tavern and Man Skirt Brewing as they host events throughout the weekend. This is a FREE event, so grab your friends and family and be prepared to have the time of your life. There will be activities, contests, craft vendors, music, drinks, food, and more! This Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event where vendors will take to Main St., Valentine St., and Grand Ave. for this street-fair style event. There will be kids’ activities and other non-alcohol-related activities as well.

Central Jersey Beverage Fest (CJBF) is organized annually and hosted in the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds the last Saturday in September. Attracting attendees who love craft beer and more in an outdoor setting from the tristate area, CJBF is a tasting festival of Beer, Seltzers, Canned Cocktails, Wine and Spirits.
