Annual Teaneck International Film Festival

With the support of the nonprofit organization Puffin Foundation, Ltd., a small group of dedicated volunteers set out, more than 20 years ago, to create an event that would present a collection of compelling and imaginative feature-length films, documentaries, and shorts from a variety of cultures that would lead audiences to question, debate, and become caring and involved citizens who recognize the need to institute positive change. TIFF has found its niche on the film festival circuit, and, having been dubbed by the Star-Ledger, “the film festival with a social conscience,” is growing in reputation as well as numbers.

Ha Ha Harvest Comedy Festival

The Ha Ha Harvest Comedy Festival is bringing some amazing headliners and features this year, including Lane Moore (Tinder Live, Girls, Author of How To Be Alone), Esther Chen (And Just Like That), Mohanad Elshieky (Full Frontal W/ Samantha Bee, Conan, The Late Show w/Stephen Colbert), Myq Kaplan (The Tonight Show, Conan, Letterman, Seth Meyers, Comedy Central) and 70 other comedians from around the country and several local Jersey City and Hoboken comedians as well! In addition to one-of-a-kind comedy shows, like Tinder Live, Paint & laugh, and Babes Benedict, a female-centric brunch show at Madame, the festival is screening comedic films from around the world.

Hats Off to Downtown Shopping Crawl

A district-wide shopping crawl celebrating amazing local businesses. Laurita Veteran’s Chili and Chowder Festival

Pie Tasting Weekend at Terhune Orchards
November 15 & 16, 12 pm – 4 pm
Pie Tasting Weekend returns on November 15 and 16. Join Terhune to sample a variety of delicious pies. There will be rows of pies in the wine barn; the smell will be divine! Come taste any of the pies and pick a favorite(s) to order for the holidays. Portion of proceeds of this event will benefit HomeFront and Project Freedom. Winery will be open in the orchard for tastings and live music 12-5pm.

Join Seton Village for a Fall Community Planting Day in and around Carter Park in South Orange on Sunday, November 16 from 10AM-1PM. It’s a great way to give back, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with your neighbors!
