New Years Thoughts from New Jersey Isn’t Boring!
First of all, if you are reading this…thank you!
This year has been fantastic for me. It’s hard to believe that I only started this blog 9 months ago (it’s officially a newborn baby) as a side project from my day job, and seen it grown in amazing ways.
Things that have truly been amazing in 2014:
– Gaining readers via social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
– The opportunity to do giveaways and contests – Enter the Big Brew Beer Fest Contest this Week!
– Meet and promote amazing artists by starting an “Etsy Store of the Week”
– Meeting artists led to my first (small) art show in Oct
– Cory Booker make a pun AND RT a picture of my dog, Frankie, on Star Wars day
– Frankie getting attention on social media- #frankiethedognj
– Getting the chance to attend & review a lot of great events
– Getting to try new restaurants and review them too!
– Making new friends with other bloggers – see my diner date
– Speaking of diners, getting to try a lot of new diners and review them
Overall…an amazing year for New Jersey Isn’t Boring!
Things I’m hoping to include in 2015:
– More guest blogger spots
– Adding more fun things to do in NJ to my site
– Getting out to even more awesome events
– Promoting more contests and giveaways
– Revamping the site to make it look even better and easier to use
– Checking off more items off my NJ Bucket list (which I’ll be publishing soon)
– Feature my new pup, Holly, and increase more awareness of dog adoption in NJ
…and last but not least, being able to do this full time. That would be pretty freaking awesome.
AND of course, the first annual New Jersey Isn’t Boring art show at Arts Guild New Jersey which will take place March 22nd – April 16th, 2015! Mark your calendars NOW. Free exhibit featuring NJ artists all about why NJ is a great place to live. I’m so excited for it!
