Become a real-life cast member of The Walking Dead by participating in a New Jersey Zombie Walk (or bike ride, 5K, etc) for 2022! Put on your best zombie makeup and your bloody attire by attending these fun events throughout the Garden State. Points for being creative!

Asbury Park Zombie Walk
October 8
The Asbury Park Zombie Walk is celebrating its anniversary! The NJZW took has set the Guinness World Record for the “Largest gathering of zombies” two separate times. In 2010 the record was claimed with 4,093 undead counted on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The record was later reclaimed in 2013 with 9,592 participants. The annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk holds the record for the World’s largest gathering of Zombies! Enjoy festivities & music taking place downtown & along the boardwalk.

Stomp the Monster Spooktacular Almost 4 Mile Run Run & Walk
October 15, 11AM – 3PM
100% of the proceeds will go to patients battling cancer. This unique, SPOOKTACULAR ALMOST 4-Mile Course starts on the north end of the Manasquan boardwalk, known by locals as “Sea Watch” named for the historic lifeguard station at the corner of 1st and Ocean Avenues. After a full mile of ocean views along the boardwalk, runners will find themselves hugging the historic Manasquan Inlet with full views of the river. finishing at historic Leggett’s, a Manasquan staple since 1935. If 4 miles is just too much, they will have a 2-mile walk course (start and finish are the same as the run course).! And as always the after-party continued at Leggetts Sand Bar with the endless buffet, raffles & costume prizes

Historic Smithville’s Monster Bash
October 22, 10AM – 6PM
Come spend a day and night in the Village and take part in the area’s largest Zombie Walk! There will be vendors and music throughout the day; the “walk” begins at 6:00pm. Show up ready in full costume and makeup or they will have makeup artists on site! This is sponsored by Underground, one of the 50+ stores at Historic Smithville. The rain date for this event is October 29th.

Merchantville Zombie Run
October 29, 10AM – 11:30AM
Race through historic Monsterviille wearing your favorite costume. Chip timing, text messaging within seconds of finishing and an HD finish line video! Shirt size and availability through Saturday, October 16th. Shirts for those registering after 10/16 will be on an as-available race day morning. Awards top overall male and female, age groups top 3 male and female, 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+

Zombie Walk Montclair 2022
October 29, 1:30PM – 6PM
The event kicks off at 1:30 pm where they’ll have make-up artists on hand to help give you a good gash, slash or some general damage to “zombify” you and get you ready for the walk around Montclair! At 3 pm, the zombies hit the streets! As a giant Zombie horde, you’ll walk around Montclair and spread the spooky spirit to patrons, businesses, looky-loos and casual walkers. The event concludes at East Side Mags where you’ll rock out with a rendition of the Monster Mash followed by a Zombie/Costume contest with prizes for: Best Baby Costume, Best Kids/Youth Costume, and Best Adult Costume.
