Rahway Taste of Spring

Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe, the Rahway City Council, and the City of Rahway’s Special Improvement District invite you to get your taste buds ready for their premier Restaurant Tasting Event, happening in Downtown Rahway—the Rahway Taste of Spring! Now in its 21st year, this event has been widely recognized as the largest tasting event of its kind in the NJ/NY Metro Area, typically with upwards of 40 eateries and bakeries, plus an additional 40 stations of national distributors of fine wine, boutique beers and aperitifs. With live music, good food, wines and beers from all over the world, Rahway’s Taste of Spring is the place to be this April. Racin for Bacon 5k/10k
April 7, 10 am – 1 pm
Celebrate the Spring running season with a flat fast 5k or 10k featuring FREE BACON at the finish line! Participants can choose their distance, receive a finishers medal, and enjoy 2 freshly cooked pieces of bacon. The race welcomes all levels of runners and walkers (5k only for walkers), encouraging families and even dogs to join in the fun. Fur Baby Food and Music Fest

In collaboration with the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, the event aims to find forever homes for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Highlights include 15+ food vendors, live music by Grand Theft Audio NJ and Guy Smiley, face painting, a doggie agility course, a pet costume contest, and games for all ages. The event takes place from noon to 7p, and admission is $6 (5 and under are free). FASTPASS tickets are available in advance. The Beer Run

Join The Beer Run, where your fellow runners become your drinking buddies! Participants can walk or run a 5K route through a charming historic village and scenic nature trails, concluding at a craft beer festival featuring the finest beer and cuisine in New Jersey. Each ticket includes race registration, 12 small beer tastings, a souvenir glass, and admission to the festival with live music, games, and a variety of food trucks. Murder Mystery Dinner at Four Sisters Winery

Mysterious Happenings at Four Sisters Winery. It’s a Murder at the winery! Who knows the details? Guests have assembled and the celebration begins. The jubilant celebration comes to a halt when one of the characters mysteriously dies! Who’s the victim? An enchanted, fun-filled afternoon accompanied with a delicious lunch of Chicken Parmigiana, pasta, salad, bread & dessert is just the beginning. Beginning with a formal wine tasting, attendees receive insight to the S’s of wine tasting sampling a selection of red and white wines. Following the wine tasting, dinner will be served concluding with dessert and dessert wine. Characters are selected and the mysterious plot of the evening begins. Dinner guests partake in an interactive story-line adding some spice to their character description. As the plot thickens and unravels with twists and turns participants seek to unveil who’s the culprit of the crime! Once the murder is solved, awards will be given for Best Actor and Best Actress.
