We are falling for Fall and it’s MANY events.  Featured events include Oktoberfests, food, beer and wine festivals,  Chowderfest, The Collingswood Book Festival,  and much more. Let’s leave the house to explore what NJ has to offer (or not, you do you). These are my top 20 New Jersey Events for September 30 – October 2, 2022.

Hanover Twp. PBA Food, Wine & Brew Festival
October 1, 12PM – 6PM
The Hanover Twp. PBA will host a Food, Wine & Brew Festival on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 from 12 PM – 6 PM. The event will take place at Bee Meadow Park/Brickyard Field off of Renolds Avenue in Whippany, New Jersey. The event will be a day of great food from local food trucks, activities for the whole family, games, and live music. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Attendees can expect 20+ beers on tap, as well as food trucks and a wine-tasting bar. Entertainment includes live music by Suspended Justice, a walking magician, corn hole, dunk a cop, and more. Family activities range from a bounce house and petting zoo to face painting, temporary tattoos, and a balloon artist.

Cost: Ticket options include a Brewfest Experience for $50 that includes general admission to all event activities with unlimited beer and wine. A “mini brew” experience for $25 includes four beer or wine tokens. For those under 21 and non-drinkers (18+), the ticket cost is $10, and admission for ages 11 – 17 is $5.

Fall 2022 Exit Zero Jazz Festival
September 29 – October 2

The Exit Zero Jazz Festival celebrates its’ 10th Anniversary season in 2022. The 2022 Fall edition of the Festival promises to be its most blockbuster Festival to date. International touring artists perform on multiple outdoor stages on the grounds of the Exit Zero Ferry Park, located on the Green Space of the Cape May Ferry Terminal. Music at Exit Zero Ferry Park runs from 11 am – 6 pm each Festival day, September 30, October 1, and October 2. At night, the world-class music moves back into Cape May with the Cape May Convention Hall night concerts beginning Thursday, September 29 with the Cape May Jazz Festival Foundation Gala, and continuing September 30 and October 1

Skylands Stadium Jack O’Lantern Experience
September 30 – October 2

This 30 day event guarantees thrills and chills for the whole family! Enjoy seasonal food and drinks, carnival rides, pumpkin picking/painting, and a stroll through over 6,000 hand-carved Jack-O-Lanterns in the crisp fall air with family and friends.

Olde Time Italian Festival
September 30 – October 1

Come experience an ‘Olde World’ family festival including a Procession of the Saints, delicious Italian food favorites, merchandise vendors, games, and continuous FREE live entertainment. A spaghetti eating contest will take place as well. SPECIAL for the 15th Anniversary Celebration, the Skyliners will perform Friday night and Bobby Rydell will perform Saturday night!

Chowderfest
October 1, 10AM – 7PM
Chowderfest 2022, along with the Chowder Champion Announcements will take place in Beach Haven. Fun for the whole family, and pet-friendly. This is a non-tasting event, meaning no tastings will be occurring. All chowder is for purchase on the Chowder Trail. Select participating restaurants will be at the event selling their chowder along with other menu items.

Collingswood Book Festival
October 1, 10AM – 4PM

The award-winning Collingswood Book Festival features over 50 presenting authors and an additional 250 authors and exhibitors. Known as the longest running literary event in the Delaware Valley, book lovers of all ages can find authors and book signings, new and used book sales, exhibitors, vendors, poetry, storytellers, rare book appraisals, Loompaland kids zone and more.

Camden County Technical Schools Food Truck and Craft Fair Fall Festival

All are invited to attend this family-friendly event. Annual Original Downtown Somerville Oktoberfest

Another annual Oktoberfest Celebration brought to you by Tapastre & Project PUB. Eat, drink and be merry! Local craft beers and traditional Oktoberfest brews will be on hand, along with plenty of food from local restaurants and live music from awesome bands throughout the day.

21sr Annual Oktoberfest

The feel-good spirit of Highlands 19th ANNUAL Oktoberfest is modeled after the traditional Munich, Germany Oktoberfest with an emphasis on eating; drinking and being merry while providing something for everyone. Authentic German food, live music, dancing and other great entertainment will be part of the Annual Oktoberfest celebration taking place in Veterans Park on Bay & Shrewsbury Avenues. The park is festive with fall decorations, the food is great and the varieties of German beers are even better. Authentic German food is a highlight of this famous festival. Executive Chef Butch Greenwaldt is preparing the menu with plenty of traditional German favorites hot off the grill such as bratwurst, knockwurst, kraut, potato pancakes, goulash, sauerbraten, and Bavarian noodles along with another tasty fare those less adventurous.
