Top Ten New Jersey Events for May 11th – 13th, 2018:

Spring Boardwalk Classic Car Show – May 10th – 13th
The Spring Boardwalk Classic Car Show takes places every Mother’s Day Weekend along the famous Wildwoods Boardwalk. Cars in the Spring Classic can be any make or model, but must be at least 10 years of age or older. The vehicles will line the Boardwalk both Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Participants enjoy exclusive events throughout the weekend including a kick-off dinner party and discounts and specials provided by local restaurants and businesses!
A team of judges walk along the boards to choose the Boardwalk Top 40 Winners. Each vehicle selected within the “Boardwalk Top 40” will then vote and choose their choice for the “Best of Show” winner! Win cash prizes, door prizes, and trophies! Fun for the whole family and spectators are free!

Avalon Wine & Spirits Festival – May 11th
The Avalon Chamber of Commerce and Fred’s Avalon Liquor Stores presents the annual Wine & Spirits Festival!
More than 200 high-end wines and spirits from around the world

Lake Hopatcong Block Party – May 12th
The Lake Hopatcong Block Party brings an estimated 3,000+ community visitors together with businesses, non-profit organizations, craft vendors, community groups and food merchants. Guests will also be entertained with live music, boat and mini-train rides, on-the-water demonstrations and a children’s area

Vintage Market, Tractor and Car Show – May 12th
Vintage Cars, Bicycles and Tractors and Vintage Flea Market. Antique Car Gathering,Tractor Display, Vintage Bicycles. Vintage Vagabond Marketplace Trailer. Costume Contest. Audience Choice Award for Best Vehicle. Antique Displays in 1900’s-1920’s era Farm buildings and Barns. Walk around the Historic Village, explore the Antique Engine Museum, the Cranberry & Blueberry Museum, The Old General Store, The Gallery, The Worker’s Cottage and the Machine Shop.Vintage Costumes encouraged! The Accidental Jug Band will be playing on the porch of the store.

The Children’s festival at Historic Smithville– May 12th
Popcorn, face-painting, balloon animals, train rides, and games are just some of the events to look forward to! Admission to the Children’s Festival is free, while there are some free activities, others will have a small fee.

Hooray for May! – May 12th
“Hooray for May!” brings hundreds of children and adults from the local community together for a fun and interactive day of making art! A variety of hands-on art activities for kids of all ages and parents alike take place in The Center’s three art studios, and include a variety of creative projects to keep or give on Mother’s Day.Rounding out the afternoon are family-friendly guided gallery tours of The Center’s current exhibitions, a community art project, and much more! A limited edition t-shirt is given out to the first fifty children in the door!

GSWGA’s Mother’s Day Wine Trail – May 12th & 13th
Celebrate mom on the special weekend. What a wonderful way to treat Mom – with an afternoon of wine tasting. Each winery in NJ will be hosting their own event to celebrate New Jersey moms all over the Garden State.

Asbury Park Spring Bazaar – May 12th & 13th
Don’t miss the Asbury Park Spring Bazaar happening Mother’s Day Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, May 12th & 13th, noon to 5 pm, at historic Convention Hall in beautiful Asbury Park! The Spring Bazaar will be located in both the Grand Arcade and Concert Hall and will feature shopping from over 90+ of the best local and regional handcraft & vintage vendors, flowers and photo booth, live music, DJs, beach yoga, brunch, workshops, kids crafts, massage, hair styling, henna tattoos and more!

The Marketspace at Summit – May 12th & 13th
Searching for the perfect Mother’s Day or end of school teacher gifts? Look no further than The Marketspace at Summit! As an added perk, Summit’s high-traffic farmer’s market (just around the corner) will run concurrently. Treat mom to brunch or coffee then swing by for some small business shopping.

Celebrate Moms at Morey’s Piers – May 13th
Morey’s Piers is honoring Mother’s Day with tea for two…or three…or four…or more, inviting moms to celebrate their special day with an unforgettable tea party for the whole family at the beloved Tea Cups ride.
Activities for the day include:
12:00pm – 5:00pm: Moms visiting will ride free on Sunday, May 13th on Mariner’s and Surfside Piers.
12:00pm – 2:00pm (or while supplies last): Mom and company can grab a seat in an oversized “English tea cup” and sip complimentary afternoon tea on our tea cup ride with an assortment of cookies, biscotti’s, and biscuits.
12:00pm – 2:00pm (or while supplies last): Kids can decorate personalized sugar cookies for mom at the cookie decorating station located next to the Tea Cup ride.
12:00pm – 2:00pm: A photo area complete with signs and props for Mom and the entire family to take pictures will be located at the Parents Pavilion on Mariner’s Pier.
Live music, a balloon artist, and pop-up dance performances by Shorestop Dance Convention ambassadors are scheduled to take place throughout the day.
