Top Ten New Jersey Events for the Weekend:
SOMA Film Festival – Mar 9th – 12th
The 2nd annual SOMA Film Festival will be an even bigger and better event than their successful inaugural year. They will continue to showcase new, entertaining and innovative films from local, student, domestic and international filmmakers.The 2nd year will extend to full four days of festivities that celebrate movies. We learned from last year’s success that there is an eagerness and demand for quality independent film in our community and beyond. Our Downtown South Orange and Maplewood locations at SOPAC (South Orange Performance Center) and Maplewood Theater are the perfect locations. The short trip from New York City attracted a countless variety of talent last year that included: Directors, Actors, Producers, Writers and Industry Professionals.

28th Annual New Jersey Home Show – Mar 10th – 12th
New Jersey’s Largest Home Show. Over 300 Exhibits with State-of-the-art Products & Services

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration & Parade – Mar 11th
A ceremony will begin on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall, 10th & Atlantic Avenue, in North Wildwood beginning at 11:30 a.m. A festive parade will begin at noon and proceeds north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue. Participants include VFW Color Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish Pipe Brigade, Emerald Society, Miss North Wildwood, Queen Oceania, Anglesea Irish Society, Sheriff Mounted Patrol, local school bands, and much more! FREE to attend

4th Annual Guinness Run – Mar 11th
The Highlands Business Partnership’s 4th Annual Guinness Run fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2PM. Registration is $30.00 and includes a commemorative t-shirt, a Guinness Pint glass and access to the Post-Race Party at Bahrs Landing Restaurant, with complimentary appetizers and Guinness Beer. The race will begin at Bahrs, 2 Bay Avenue, where contestants will fill their cup and race to Miller St., and back to the finish line at Bahrs. The contestant with the most liquid in their cup at the finish line, wins the 1st Place trophy and $100 in Bid Bucks. 2nd Place will receive a $50 Bid Buck. All contestants are eligible to participate in the Post- Race Pub Crawl.
There will be a Post-Guinness Run Pub Crawl from 3PM-5PM, included with RUN registration or $10.00 without RUN registration and $3.00 Imported Beer specials at participating restaurants.

11th Annual CCM Festival of Storytelling and World Music Festival – Mar 12th

The Eleventh Annual Storytelling and World Music Festival will feature outstanding storytellers, including Storyteller Robin Bady with Musicians Concetta Abbate and Skip LaPlante.
