Cumberland County Winter Eagle Festival

Raritan Valley Community College Valentine’s Day Planetarium Shows

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium in Branchburg, NJ will kick off its Valentine’s programming with Our Lovely Skies at 7 p.m., a family-friendly astronomy show exploring love stories in the stars, followed by a Laser Love concert at 8 p.m. featuring romantic music paired with dazzling laser visuals, recommended for ages 10 and up. The celebration continues on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14, with Romancing the Stars at 7 p.m., a date-night experience for adults ages 16+ that blends romance, storytelling, and a light-hearted tour of the universe, followed by an adults-only Laser Love concert at 8 p.m., offering couples a unique and immersive way to celebrate love under the dome.

Maple Sugaring at the Environmental Education Center

Visitors will learn how trees are tapped, view sap-collecting methods past and present, and see the boiling process that produces delicious New Jersey maple syrup. This 60-minute, outdoor program is conducted at our Sugar Shack, a ½-mile hike from the EEC. Please arrive at the EEC 30-40 minutes before the program start time to purchase tickets and hike to the Sugar Shack to meet your Naturalist. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Boots are recommended as the trails can be wet, muddy, and/or covered by snow.

Winter doesn’t halt activity on the farm! Come to Fosterfields for Winter’s Day on the farm. Learn how to cut and harvest ice, help the staff saw wood, pet the cows, and see an outdoor cooking demonstration. Take a wagon ride around the farm to see it in all of its wintery splendor!
