Winter Warrior Challenge

A Presidents Day Weekend event brings families and local businesses together in Ocean City in the heart of winter. The event is run out of Civic Center and includes three components: an obstacle course race for children, a “Winter Warrior” obstacle course race for parents and individuals and team challenges such as a fire truck pull. All proceeds benefit Ocean City Recreation Scholarships and Programs.

Mike’s Seafood Valentine’s Day Run/Walk for Autism

This unique event encourages runners and walkers of all ages to participate with their families, while supporting a worthwhile cause. Please review the event application for prize details for both men and women in the various age classifications for the 5K run. The walk is a non-competitive event. After the race, there will be HUGE HEATED tents outside Excursion Park for Live Music, an Awards Ceremony, Door-Prizes, and Magicians and Face Painting for the Kids! Raritan Valley Community College Valentine’s Day Planetarium Shows

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium in Branchburg, NJ will kick off its Valentine’s programming with Our Lovely Skies at 7 p.m., a family-friendly astronomy show exploring love stories in the stars, followed by a Laser Love concert at 8 p.m. featuring romantic music paired with dazzling laser visuals, recommended for ages 10 and up. The celebration continues on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14, with Romancing the Stars at 7 p.m., a date-night experience for adults ages 16+ that blends romance, storytelling, and a light-hearted tour of the universe, followed by an adults-only Laser Love concert at 8 p.m., offering couples a unique and immersive way to celebrate love under the dome.

Maple Sugaring at the Environmental Education Center

Visitors will learn how trees are tapped, view sap-collecting methods past and present, and see the boiling process that produces delicious New Jersey maple syrup. This 60-minute, outdoor program is conducted at our Sugar Shack, a ½-mile hike from the EEC.
