Put the Pub in the Public Garden – April 8
If you’re a lover of everything Italian, and especially if you love Tuscany, then join Reeves-Reed Arboretum on Friday, April 8, from 7 to 9:30 pm, for the next Put the ‘Pub’ in Public Garden, as we continue our oenophile’s tour of the world with Tenuta Torciano Winery. Located in San Gimignano, Italy, and founded in 1720, Tenuta Torciano brings three centuries of winemaking expertise to the table. Sample select vintages, showcasing the range and styles from throughout the region, as well as the art and passion of winemaking, chosen by sommelier Max Niccoli and winemaker Pierliugi Giachi. Wine is Tuscany’s lifeblood, and a wine without a soul is just a beverage.

Karaoke with the Jerzey Debry Brigade – April 8
Come out and get pumped up for the 2016 roller derby season with Morristown’s Jerzey Derby Brigade at Karaoke Night on Friday, April 8th, at Tiff’s Casual Bar and Grill in Morris Plains, NJ. Now is your chance to show everyone your true musical talents. Be the star that you are! Enjoy food and drink specials and bring your friends for a fun night of karaoke, courtesy of Powerhouse Productions. Come sing along with Morristown’s original roller derby girls. A Friday night doesn’t get any better than this! Karaoke night starts at 9:00pm at Tiff’s Casual Bar & Grill at 231 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. The AC Beer and Music Festival – April 8 & 9
The Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center for its 11th installment on April 8th – 9th! This year’s “Celebration of the Suds” will debut some exciting new elements to round out this constantly evolving event. Beer enthusiasts, music aficionados and avid runners alike will be brought together to indulge in all of the things they crave during the 2016 Festival!

Just $1 can buy you fossil shark tooth, a 300 million year old trilobite, a rock that glows brightly under UV light, or a glittering piece of fool’s gold. Those with more refined tastes may appreciate the real dinosaurs or investor grade $100,000 specimens of the rarest minerals on earth. (You won’t find diamonds here because they are way too common.)
Also browse antique gold jewelry, meteorites, rare agates, petrified wood, equipment, supplies and our always-changing exhibits. In 2014 we featured Russell, a genuine 38-foot long Tyrannosaurus rex, as well as the only complete 12′ foot tall Entelodont “Heck Pig” in the world. In 2015 we’ll again let folks touch actual rocks from the Moon and Mars.

Camden Comic Con – Apr 9
Camden Comic Con 2016 is a FREE, ALL AGES annual comic convention that celebrates the artistry and cultural phenomenon of comic books and associated media. The goal of Camden Comic Con 2016 is to provide a free, all ages event that links and introduces the community of Camden and South Jersey to comic creators, writers, artists, dealers, and fellow enthusiasts. In addition to this, we aim to explore and promote the concepts of education, literacy, and artistry through the medium. It is also just plain fun to meet your favorite artists, peruse comics, pick up rare issues, cosplay, and gather to celebrate the love of all things ‘nerdy’The event will take place on the campus of Rutgers-Camden in the Athletics & Fitness Center.

British Car Show – April 9

Kits at the Pier – April 10
New this year, the inaugural Kites At The Pier, Long Branch Kite Festival kicks off the summer season Sunday, April 10. The festival features kite flyers from all areas of the eastern seaboard flying their most incredible creations.
Every kind of kite imaginable will be at the festival. Kites of all shapes and sizes – from inflatable flying creatures to traditional kites – will be flying high over the beach between Melrose Terrace and Morris Avenue in Long Branch. A dazzling display of giant kites will be visible for miles and miles.
