After months of speculation and rumor, Maxwell’s Tavern (1039 Washington St Hoboken NJ) is proud to announce the return of loud, original, local music to their newly-renovated back room. This is big news for the music scene in Hoboken and the NYC Metro area in general. In a time that continues to see the closing of live venues, it is a rare occasion that one re-opens — and does so with such enthusiasm and positive energy.
The new owners of Maxwell’s Tavern are looking to make this room a great one for bands to play and for fans to see shows. The rebuilt stage and redesigned sound and light systems give the room a whole new feel and will be able to accommodate all kinds of shows.
Host Stephen Bailey says, “I am thrilled to be directly involved with this amazing line up slated for December 5th 2014. We’re turning it up to 11 and bringing back original local rock to this iconic corner of Hoboken. It’s the first of many great shows to come and I hope to see a lot of new (and familiar) faces there!”
