Lines on the Pines Returns for it’s 20th Anniversary on March 9
Lines on the Pines—a beloved indoor celebration of the New Jersey Pine Barrens—returns to Stockton University’s Campus Center (101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ) on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 11 AM – 4 PM.
This free, family-friendly event showcases Pine Barrens history, arts, crafts, music, and literature. Presented by It’s a Sign of the Pines, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the event is proudly supported by Stockton University, the South Jersey Culture & History Center, AtlantiCare, CRA Financial, ACUA, Plexus Publishing, NJM Insurance Group, EDIFI CU, and more.
Founded in 2006 by Linda Stanton, what began as a one-time gathering has grown into a cherished tradition. Even during COVID-related cancellations, the nonprofit remained active, publishing books and organizing activities for all ages. Now, 20 years later, Linda—along with Tom Kinsella of Stockton University—continues to celebrate the Pine Barrens with a dedicated community of enthusiasts.
This year’s kid-focused theme is “Folklore,” featuring eight factual and fictional Pine Barrens stories. Kids can earn a special patch by completing activities in the PB&J Booklet, participating in arts and crafts, and meeting friendly animals from Funny Farm Rescue.
Authors & Exhibitors:
Meet renowned Pine Barrens authors, including newcomers Vea Lewis (Pine and Dandy), Robert Cobb (Privateers and Pine-Robbers), Mary Ann Trail (History of Egg Harbor Township, NJ), and Ellen Alford (Underground Railroad in South Jersey). Historical societies from Galloway, Mullica, Tuckerton, Great Egg Harbor, Vineland, Barnegat, and organizations like WJC National Railway, Rancocas Conservancy, and the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission will also be sharing insights.
Live Music & Outdoor Adventures:
Enjoy continuous music by the Acoustic Musicians Guild, Groggy Pine Boys, and Daniel Keiser Band. Outdoor lovers can explore exhibits from Pinelands Preservation Alliance, Pinelands Adventures, South Jersey Wildlife Tours, Wild Ones Seedling Chapter, Stockton Maple Project, and more.
