Liberty Park Cafe & Diner in Jersey City: Review
If you’re looking for a New Jersey Diner that’s close to Liberty State Park and the Liberty Science Center, then the Liberty Park Diner and Cafe is the perfect choice. This cute, laid back diner boasts to be the best diner in Jersey City.
The interior of the diner has a lot of fun decor. From a Jersey City painting, a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty, and the Little Rascals framed on the wall (I’m sure there’s a story there), there’s a lot to take in when you take your seat.
As for the food, the Jersey Park Diner and Cafe has SUPER affordable prices. Everything on the menu is very reasonably priced and they have great specials as well. They have your typical diner fare, but all of it is homemade. I hear their burgers are delicious.
Because we arrived around 10:30am, I decided to get something “Brunchy”. They had a great special which included your choice of waffle, pancakes, or french toast and it included coffee for $6.
Their coffee by the way….AMAZING. And it came with real milk, which is always a bonus for me. I think I got like 4 or 5 refills. It was that good. (and the refills are free)
I decided to get a Belgian waffle, something I haven’t had in over a year. I also decided to add on turkey sausage, which was almost the same cost as the waffle and coffee itself, that still meant my meal was under $10. Plus it was a lot of food.
Overall I found the Jersey Park Diner and Cafe charming and the food was fantastic and cheap. I also loved our waitress who was super friendly and helpful, and their owner was equally friendly with a great sense of humor. Gotta love a NJ diner visit like this!
