NJ Diner Review #287: The Legacy Diner in Audobon
As I continue to cross of diners from my South Jersey diner list, I decided check off the Legacy Diner located off in Audobon, NJ. Since opening over ten years ago, the diner boasts that you’ll have the premier NJ diner experience while visiting.
The diner has fairly newer decor and it’s very spacious and clean. When we visited during Autumn they were all decked out for the season!
Items on their Menu that Stood Out:
– Homemade Chili Con Carne
– Honey cinnamon sweet potato fries
– Greek fries (my favorite)
– Philly cheese steak spring rolls
– Maryland crab cake balls
– Thai coconut shrimp
– Lots and lots of sandwiches including the Hungry Man (hot roast beef, brown gravy, melted cheese on ciabatta)
– Sugar Cured Virginia Ham Steak
– Food from around the globe; Mexico, Italy, Greece etc
– Crepes
– Baklava Crumble (imported Greek yogurt, wet walnuts, honey, and cinnamon)
They also do all their baking in house including their Award Winning Strawberry Cheesecake!
In addition to being decked out for the season, they had pumpkin everything: pancakes, cheesecake, pie, waffles, bread, muffins etc
My friend ended up getting the pumpkin pancakes and they looked delicious!
Ultimately I decided to get chicken salad on rye since I was craving it, and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! Not everyone makes a good chicken salad, but the Legacy Diner nailed it.
Overall a pleasant experience with great food and great service!
