NJIB’s Review of the Lacey Diner in Forked River

Looking for a cute, local diner with extremely affordable prices? Make sure you stop by the Lacey Diner located in Lacey Twp/Forked River in Ocean County, NJ.

I traveled to the diner with my friend and diner enthusiast Hollie (FueledbyLOLZ.com), a trip we’ve been planning for months but kept getting postponed due to bad weather. (We also went to the Popcorn Park Zoo which is 7 min away)

The Lacey Diner is definitely on the smaller side, located on the end of a shopping center. It has a very classic feel, with a large diner counter where you can see the food being made.

They are only open for breakfast and lunch, so their menu is very simple. They have lots of breakfast options ranging from specialty omelettes, waffles, french toast etc. Their lunches are lots of sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc.

For some random reason I was craving a burger, which I never really have, and landed on the “Lacey Burger”. When in Rome, right?

The Lacey Burger is topped with cheddar cheese, onions, and mushrooms. Although I had bad breath afterwards, it was worth it for this very tasty burger. Good thing the Lacey Diner had breath mints to go!

Hollie definitely got something healthier than I did (which she usually does). She got a Greek omelette with grilled chicken which looked really good…

If your looking for good cheap eats, I would definitely recommend the Lacey Diner for a hometown diner experience.
