JUST JERSEY JAZZ AND FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL makes its debut on Sunday, October 19th

The Just Jersey Jazz & Food Truck Festival is  fun filled family day filled with over 25 Gourmet food trucks and Jazz Music! This is a Special Benefit Event for the Roxbury Food Pantry.

There really isn’t anything more hip, sophisticated or family cool to do on a beautiful fall day than spend it surrounded by the finest gourmet food, immersed in the sounds of incredible jazz bands, while enjoying a multitude of fantastic family activities and fall fun. What makes this even better – it is an important benefit for the Roxbury Food Pantry. Eat Good! Play Good! Feel Good! That’s the Just Jersey Jazz and Food Truck Festival on Sunday, October 19th at beautiful Horseshoe Lake –Island in Succasunna.

Gates open at 11:00 am. Admission is just $5 (kids under 12 FREE). Bring a can of food or non-perishable food item (to go directly to the Roxbury Food Pantry), then admission is just $4. You can park your car for free in the ample parking areas. The First 300 people who bring more than 1 item for the Food Pantry, will receive a T-shirts from the festival sponsor, Pazoo.com!

You will be engulfed in the scent of gourmet food wafting from the over 25 trucks featuring everything from; Lobster rolls, Puerto Rican cuisine, Pizza, Thai, Cajun, Creole, Grilled Cheese, Empanadas, Tacos, Sliders, Steak, Seafood, Fried Cheese Curds, Exotic Meats, Waffles, Mac & Cheese, Bacon, Cupcakes and so much more. For the first time, there will be Farm to Table truck! To help keep the line time down, we have added 10 more trucks, for this Just Jersey Fest! The Barn Restaurant of Rockaway & Randolph, will be serving a special Octoberfest menu. Check that out – foodtastic as well!

Take a break from the food frenzy for a minute and get ready for 11:30am, as the stage comes alive with the first incredible Jazz Band of the day. The Jazz Lineup begins with the amazing Eric Mintel Quartet they will be playing the powerful sounds of Jazz and Classical until 1:30 when the style and energy of Dick Voigt’s Big Apple Jazz Band take the stage until 3:30pm. Coming from Washington D.C., the next 2 hours will fill the island with the sounds of Alan Dale & The New Legacy Jazz Band. WOW! Make sure to find a spot to lay your blanket or set up your lawn chairs over by the band shell to reserve the best seats in the house. There will be picnic tables available across the field. We encourage everyone to bring their own chairs, blankets and relax.

The Just Jersey Jazz and Food Truck Festival is a day devoted to fun, culture, music, the arts, and fine food. There will be vendors & activities for the kids, including face painting, an obstacle course and other fall fun! More important, is in this privileged region of the State, there are still thousands of people and families that don’t have food to eat. It’s with great honor that the Just Jersey Jazz and Food Truck Festival is doing its part to ensure that the Roxbury Food Pantry, whose needs have increased by 100% over the last 18 months, for food and money, continues to thrive because we believe NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY.
