My 250th Diner Review: John and Elaine’s Diner and Restaurant

Well, I did it! I have traveled all around New Jersey and visited 250 diners and reviewed them. It would make sense that I would do this visit with my good friend and fellow New Jersey diner enthusiast, Hollie aka FueledbyLOLZ.com. Together we visited John and Elaine’s Diner and Restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach.

To start this review, let me preface that I didn’t know that when we arrived at the diner this would be my 250th review. I just happened to look at my diner list and saw that I was landing on this milestone. The fact that I was there with Hollie was kismet.

John and Elaine’s Diner is a Jersey Shore Diner close to the beach that features breakfast and lunch year round. For all seasons except for Winter, they offer dinner as well.

I was charmed immediately by their ocean decor.

The diner is known for their pancakes and omelettes, but they have plenty of breakfast and lunch options on their two sided menu.

Items that stood out to me on their menu included:
– Fresh squeezed orange juice
– Freshly made tuna, chicken, and egg salad
– The Thanksgiving Sandwich
– Corned Beef Hash made from their Corned Beef Brisket
– Caramel Apple Pancakes
– and the Jersey Girl Benedict, made with Pork Roll and Homefries

Ultimately I decided to get the Fried Flounder sandwich which is freshly breaded at the restaurant.

It was delicious and the fresh rye bread I ordered in on was a delightful bonus.

My lunch also came with homemade soup so I ordered chicken noodle. I was excited when my soup came with oyster crackers. (It’s the little things

Hollie got one of their famous omelettes, and it looked amazing. Check out those fresh red skin potato homefries!

If you’re looking for cheap, quick eats with quality made food…be sure to visit it John and Elaine’s. It was a great place to visit for my 250th review.
