Discover the Unique Charm of Glassworks Studio in Morristown: A One-of-a-Kind Experience
Situated in the heart of downtown Morristown (151 South Street, Morristown, NJ) for over 20 years, Glassworks Studio is an open studio, school, and event space where anyone can create fused glass art for display, gifts, and everyday use.
Sherri Schachter and her husband, Charlie, acquired Glassworks Studio from its founder, Stacey Schlosser, in January 2023. Sherri is honored to carry forward the 20-year legacy of Glassworks, which has profoundly impacted so many lives.
With a degree in art, a passion for handmade objects, and extensive team-building skills, Sherri brings a unique blend of talents to the studio. After decades in management roles at companies like Google and McKinsey, Sherri is excited to strengthen her ties to the local community by fostering shared, meaningful experiences.
The studio provides a versatile, friendly environment for all ages where you can gather with friends, family, or colleagues, or even organize small celebrations. It offers an opportunity to explore a unique artistic medium: fused glass.

Glass fusing involves bonding and shaping layers of colored glass through heat in a kiln. You do not need to have an experience beforehand. Sherri and her instructors will help you from start to finish. Once you’ve completed your project, the staff takes care of all kiln fusing eliminating the need for visitors to worry about this step.
If you’re looking for a unique experience and an opportunity to be creative – NJIB cannot recommend this enough. We created two projects – a picture frame and a box mount. Of course, we did a New Jersey-themed project.
We were THRILLED with how our projects came out:
Project prices spanning $25 to $220. Guests can unleash their creativity designing coasters, plates, mirrors, cheeseboards, and much more. Additionally, the studio offers specialized classes where participants can learn to craft personalized creations including pet portraits, wind chimes, and their popular “Succulent Sunday”. You can view specialized classes here.
Every month, the Glassworks staff votes on their favorite customer project. The winner receives a gift certificate and bragging rights.
Walk-ins are allowed but reservations are recommended. To make a reservation, click here.
