Kick off Independence Day Weekend with Food Truck Friday!

Garfield Recreation Department presents the Freedom Fest Food Truck Friday, an exciting evening filled with delectable food, entertainment, and activities for all ages. This highly anticipated event will take place on Friday, June 30th from 4  pm to 10 pm at 20th Century Field.

Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the presence of 17 gourmet food trucks, offering a wide range of culinary delights. From Angry Archies to Waffles & Dreams, attendees can indulge in a diverse selection of flavors that will satisfy every palate. The participating food vendors, such as The Brew Crew, Chef J Latin Dragon, Cubano X-Press, and many more, will ensure a memorable gastronomic experience for all.

In addition to the fantastic food options, there will be an array of exciting activities to keep everyone entertained throughout the evening. Children will have the opportunity to enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, a bungee trampoline, face painting, and engaging sand art. The event will also feature a lively DJ who will keep the crowd energized and dancing all night long.

One of the highlights of the evening is the highly anticipated HOT DOG EATING CONTEST, offering participants a chance to win a cash prize of $200. Those interested in participating can register at the event, with more information to follow.

Admission to the event is priced at $5, and children under the age of 5 can enter for free. Attendees will also have access to a beer, sangria, and margarita bar to enhance their enjoyment of the festivities.
