Foodies Unite! Bloomfield Center Celebrates Local Dining with 2021 Restaurant Week

Bloomfield Center is welcoming diners to celebrate local restaurants and the Center’s culinary entrepreneurs during the 2021 Annual Bloomfield Center Restaurant Week running September 27 – October 3rd!

Bloomfield Center Alliance began organizing Bloomfield Center Restaurant Week in 2020 to support and market the diversity and excellence of Bloomfield Center’s restaurant community in the heart of challenging times for the industry. The week continues in 2021 as a way to market the incredible diversity and excellence of the Center’s restaurants with even more delicious opportunities to participate.

Bloomfield Center Restaurant Week participating businesses feature a number of pre-fixe menus and many special offers at 15+ restaurants in the Center including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Participating restaurants offer a mix of service options like dining in, outdoor dining, take-out, and delivery so that New Jersey residents can take part in the week’s specials in the way that fits them best.

Participating restaurants include:
Aki Asian House
Anthony’s Cheesecake
Bloomfield Steak & Seafood
Blue Steel Pizza
Bucco
Burgers Grilled Right (BGR Bloomfield)
Brandon’s Coffee Shop

Gloria’s Bar & Grill

The Restaurant Week in September 2021 comes after a successful 2020 Restaurant Week and a year filled with culinary events like Dinner Under the Stars, a popular al fresco summer dining event that was extended by popular demand through September, and two fun-packed, Bloomfield Center Walking Food Tours. The BCA is continuing its successful partnership with EMI Strategy who organized and coordinated both this Restaurant Week campaign and Food Tours.

“The restaurant community in Bloomfield Center continues to evolve and grow. We have restaurants that have been part of family’s traditions for many years like Anthony’s Cheesecake and Bloomfield Steak and Seafood, and some that have opened just recently and creating new experiences in our Center like Curbside Smoothies, Blue Steel Pizza, and Grab Crab Cajun Seafood,” said Ollyn Lettman, Director of the Bloomfield Center Alliance. “The past year and half has been an immensely challenging time for restauranteurs in our community so our goal with Restaurant Week is of course to highlight the delicious options in our Center, but also give people in the region the chance to show their appreciation and support for these businesses and the business owners who have weathered the storm.”

Demian Boroff, owner of Blue Steel Pizza, a hip Detroit-style pizza destination on Glenwood Ave stated, “We are excited for restaurant week, for the comradery and to see our neighbors who came together after Hurricane Ida and are still recovering.  Like so many in our community, Blue Steel Pizza Company was flooded but had a relatively quick recovery – a bit over a week.  We are offering a special lunch menu that will give people a chance to sample a wide range of our menu – including our pizza and pastas- below our normal price point. We hope to see new and familiar faces during Restaurant week to celebrate our community!”

Bloomfield Center Restaurant Week will begin September 27th and end October 3rd. Individuals can find a full list of dining specials and sign up for alerts at www.BloomfieldCenterRestaurantWeek.com. It will be consistently updated as new specials are confirmed and video interviews with restaurateurs will be added all week. Diners participating in the week are asked to use #BloomfieldCenterRW to amplify our community’s small business owners!
