Monster Jam – Jan 30 & 31

Monster Jam® roars into IZOD Center in East Rutherford for three action-packed events! International Great Beer Expo – Jan 31

The biggest names in international brewing will gather at the Meadowlands Exposition Center at Harmon Meadow, 355 Plaza Dr Secaucus, NJ for the fourth annual International Great Beer Expo. This international beer tasting extravaganza will showcase more than 50 breweries from across the globe, each providing samples of their country’s proudest brewing achievement. Your admission ticket includes beer sampling, souvenir tasting glass, and admission to the beer seminars. Shoulder to shoulder with some of America’s best breweries, will be amazing breweries from Japan, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Nicaragua, Thailand, Poland, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sweden, China, and others.

Fire & Ice Festival – Jan 31

The remedy cabin fever! Mount Holly’s 22nd Annual National Ice Carving Association (NICA) sanctioned competitive event. Always the last Saturday in January. Rain, snow, sleet or sunshine. Family friendly and free event combined with a local Chilli cookoff for professional chefs. Free fire engine rides, dog sled demonstrations, alpacas to see and enjoy, Discovery Museum’s People Bubble, Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, Gingerbread House contest , Revolutionary War reenactors, local art exhibits and plenty of culinary treats and live music. Throughout the downtown and The Mill Race Village shops centered around Burlington County College’s beautiful Mount Holly Center and Culinary Arts School. Peak times are from 10 am to 2 pm, plenty of free parking. Activities run throughout the day and usually wraps up by 4 pm. Dress warm, bring your camera, your kids and friends and of course an appetite. Voted South Jersey Magazine’s Best Winter Event. Enjoy!

Kick the Winter Blues – Jan 31

Join us on January 31st from 12-5pm for our 7th Annual Kick the Winter Blues Wine Event. It’s winter time and the vineyard is sleeping. The winery, however, is alive with the music of Bill Caterini. Local crafts and food specialties will be on display. Enjoy our wine by the glass or bottle, have a heated Sangria or do a tasting of 5 of our wines, and sway to the music under our heated tents. Our Events are always rain or shine and free admission.

Whitesbog Moonlight Walk – Jan 31

Explore the historic village, cranberry bogs and the surrounding pinelands. Listen to the night sounds of the forest, learn about Whitesbog and experience the seasonal changes of the Pine Barrens. All walks are 3‑5 miles in length, weather permitting and led by experienced leaders.

11th Annual Super ‘Plunge’ Sunday – Feb 1

Oyster Bowl XVI – Feb 1

New Jersey’s annual oyster eating contest. Oyster Bowl XVI will be held from 11 am – 2 pm to benefit Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey and Breast Cancer Resource Center YWCA Princeton.  This action packed event draws hundreds of participants and spectators who compete in 2 minute heats to determine who can consume the most oysters. Oyster Bowl has become a Princeton tradition before the big game featuring not only the oyster eating contest, but games, activities, raffles and prizes; and the only time lunch is served at Blue Point Grill. The event provides an opportunity for the community to join together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.  Individuals and corporate teams of four slurp as many oysters as they can with the hope they can beat the all-time record of 102 consumed in a two-minute period.
