Dining Out at Fiesta Cancun in Rahway

IMG_4293

I was invited to check out a new restaurant in Rahway called Fiesta Cancun. As of this post, the restaurant is fairly new (only 2 months) but already pretty popular in the area.

One of the things I liked right off the back was the decor of the place. It’s a beautiful restaurant, but it also has some funny memes on the walls. You can’t wrong with funny taco memes.

The were also showing the “Three Amigos” in Spanish which I thought was fun. I was told they will continue showing movies (on mute/subtitled) so that is something to look forward to.

We started with some appetizers. The first things that came out were beef empanadas and they were incredible. I love empanadas, and these did not disappoint. They were a good size too!

We also were treated to Mexican Street Corn (roasted corn on the cob, mayonnaise, garlic and sour cream, cotija cheese and cilantro). SO GOOD!

Both appetizers are priced at $6, which I think for the portion size is very reasonable. In addition to these appetizers they also offer guacamole (made at the table), and Cancun Ceviche (shrimp and scallops, lime, avocado).

We thought we were done with appetizers, until the owner presented a Roasted Corn Flatbread which is currently on the “Specials” menu. This will probably be added to their main menu in the future, but I’m sure if you asked for it they will make it. It was very good and more than enough food for 2 people.

Room for entrees? Not really…but when the food is this good you don’t turn anything down.

We got treated to two of some of their most popular entrees, the Fiesta Cancun burrito (shrimp, bacon, rice, avocado, corn salsa, scallion sour cream, and guajillo chile sauce). It also comes with a side salad.

AND the Ranchero Tacos (grilled steak, bacon, sour cream, salsa verde and queso fresco).

Bottom line, everything we ate was delicious.  They also have plenty of creative and delicious burritos, tacos and other Mexican favorites like quesadillas, fajitas, and taco salads. Their is lots to choose from and the quality if amazing.

ALSO, they offer a lot of great deals throughout the week, so make sure to follow them on social media so you know what to expect.

If you are a fan of Mexican food, definitely check it out and let them know I sent you! I can promise you will have a hard time deciding what to get since everything looks amazing!
