Dining Al Fresco: Diner Review #306 The Northvale Classic Diner
It’s been so long and overdue since I visited by last diner (early March 2020) and now that certain diners are offering outside dining I felt it was time to continue my quest to visit every diner in New Jersey. I took a trip up to the Northvale Classic Diner to see what it was all about.
Located on the NJ/NY border in Northvale, the Northvale Classic Diner is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With a full menu that also includes alcohol it’s a great place to dine outdoors (and indoors when that reopens).
We sat at a cute outdoor table complete with an umbrella and looked over their menu. They had an easily scannable diner from your phone to look at to avoid touching and sharing which was very convenient.
Items that you can find on their menu include egg scrambles, avocado toast, skillets, pancakes, waffles, burgers, sandwiches, salads, stone oven pizza, and tacos. Items that stood out to me on their menu include a great cocktail menu, lots of caffeinated beverages, Tiramisu French Toast, funfetti pancakes, creative stuffed eggrolls, bang bang shrimp tacos, bbq baby back ribs, and their wild milkshakes.

We were there for brunch, so I started my meal I ordered an iced coffee that came with the cutest little bottle of milk.
And because I wanted French Toast but was trying to be healthy I ordered the *drum roll please* Healthy French Toast!
The Healthy French Toast is made with whole-grain gluten-free toast, strawberries, blueberries, and sliced almonds. I really enjoyed it, including my tiny maple syrup carafe which was the perfect amount for me.
My husband kept it classic with a “NJ Sandwich” made with fried eggs, pork roll, and American cheese.
with a side of fries which were delicious.
A diner where you can eat outside…a perfect meal!
