Diner Round Up – Peterpank Diner
The Peterpank Diner is located on Route 9 North in South Amboy, a perfect place to stop before you end up on the GSP (Garden State Parkway if you don’t know the lingo).
The last time I went to that particular diner was my 17 Birthday. I don’t want to age myself, but that was quite a while ago so I felt it was time to re-visit.
The diner itself is pretty small, but it’s a popular spot! They even have the small jukeboxes on the tables on one side of the diner, which was one of my favorite things as a kid. Overall the diner has a very “classic diner” feel to it. They also did something there I haven’t seen at a diner…they sell lotto tickets!
Their menu is pretty extensive and there’s some fun things to find in the men as you go through it. This was one of my favorites:
It was hard to make a decision since everything looked good on the menu, but I decided on the chicken gyro since it was a really good deal for my buck. I was very happy with my choice!
All and all, the experience at the diner was very pleasant and I plan to go back very soon. I got to try my friend’s banana chocolate chip pancakes, so I may have to go back ASAP to get those for myself.
