Diner Round Up – Michael’s Diner in Lawrenceville

A few weeks ago I visited Michael’s Diner right off of Route 1 in Lawrenceville.

I really enjoyed this diner. It was kind of a throwback, meaning that it doesn’t look like the decor has been updated in a while.

One of the things I noticed right off the back was a very delicious looking salad bar which I found out it something they are known for. I wasn’t *too* hungry at the time, so I didn’t think an all you can eat salad bar was a good option.

They have a really big menu which pretty much as anything you could ever want. I decided to order off of the “Super Burgers” menu. I was especially happy to see it came with soup. I decided on a chicken noodle soup since they didn’t have matzoh ball. 🙁

After a lot of decision making, I decided on getting the Pesto Burger (as a turkey burger), which had grilled tomatoes, onions and mozzarella cheese.

When the burger first arrived I didn’t see any pesto on it, but before I could open my mouth a big side of pesto arrived. I was SO happy, since I LOVE pesto. Now I could put pesto on my burger and have plenty of pesto to dip my fries in.

Overall, a great diner experience which also included a dessert to go. They are known for their cheese rolls (like a cheese danish) so I bought one to take home. The food was great, the portions were big, and the value for your money was much appreciated.
