Diner Round Up – Eagle Rock Diner in West Orange
While visiting the Turtle Back Zoo, I checked out the Eagle Rock Diner in West Orange.
The diner itself is a total throwback. It reminded me of a log cabin, with wood paneling.
There were two things that caught my eye when I walked in: their liquor display as well as their homemade desserts. Both looked really tempting, but since I was trying to behave I decided against either. However when I return it’s fair game!
The prices at this diner are incredible! For $10 I got a bowl of soup, turkey meatloaf and two sides. And I was very happy that my matzoh ball had not one, but two matzoh balls. Nom nom nom….
My turkey meatloaf was also really good, but it was really filling. It was a great lunch for the following day.
Overall, the service was great and friendly and the prices were amazing. I highly recommend checking this diner out!
