Diner Round Up – Aberdeen Diner
The Aberdeen Diner is located on Route 34 in Aberdeen, which is in Monmouth County.
It’s a small diner located in a shopping center, which also has a small movie theater and a bowling alley. I first discovered it a few years ago while shopping in said shopping center and it quickly became one of my favorite diners.
It has a great menu with a lot of different options. They even have fat sandwiches!
Since they’re a tiny diner, rather than squeeze in salad bar they give you a platter of pickles, slaw and beets as an appetizer. It’s a very generous portion too.
I went on Monday night and they had a great dinner special menu for during the week. It was a 2 for $25 special which included soup or salad, an entree and dessert. I got stuffed mushroom caps, which were stuffed with crab in shrimp and served over rice. It was AMAZING. My husband got the chicken parm which was easily enough food for 3 meals. For dessert I had rice pudding…also great. Overall a fantastic meal for an equally fantastic price.
I highly recommend this diner to anyone who lives in the area or is passing through. I hadn’t been there in a while and I didn’t realize how much I missed it! GO!
