Eat, Play & Stay at the Daddy O in LBI

Looking for a vacation spot that has it all? Check out Daddy O – a boutique hotel and restaurant located in Brant Beach.

Daddy O is a seasonal hotel that was created with comfort and style in mind. This is not your typical “sleepy” overnight spot, it is as cool as its name. Daddy O is a 22-room boutique hotel that boasts a modern, urban chic interior.

When I checked in at the front desk of Daddy O, I was greeted by my favorite thing ever…warm chocolate chip cookies. Yes, cookies are one of the amenities at this hotel and they’re served all day.

Other amenities of the hotel complimentary beach badges (super useful for the Summer season), beach chairs and towels, and bike rentals.

The hotel is walking distance to the beach, making it easy to wake up and just head over there in the morning. (This is me waking up early and heading to the beach, complimentary beach chair in tow)

The rooms at the hotel are super modern and offer complimentary wifi, bottled water, coffee, and chocolate on your pillow. I can’t remember the last time I had a nice hotel room! I thoroughly enjoy my very comfy room, rain shower in the bathroom, and a TV cable package that had more channels than I do at home.

New for 2018…the Daddy O hotel offers Beauty on the go with PRIV. Since they host weddings and events, that is a major convenience!

After I checked into my room, I didn’t leave the hotel to meet friends for drinks at their outdoor garden tiki bar.

Their expertly put together bar menu includes an extensive wine selection, specialty cocktail menu, and plenty of domestic, imported and craft beers (including local NJ beers) for your enjoyment. This was definitely the first time I had a rum drink served in a pineapple. Plus there were drinks that were lit on fire!

The next day I returned to the garden bar to enjoyed lunch from Daddy O’s Restaurant, a bonus for the Summer season. Their delicious menu includes fresh seafood, salads, and locally grown produce. I started my meal by sharing one of their popular mussel pots; 1 lb Prince Edward Island Mussels served with your choice of sauce.

I also couldn’t resist their Jersey Heirloom Tomato salad, made with aged balsamic, burrata, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, garlic crostini and of course NJ tomatoes. I topped of my salad with their Seared Barnegat Scallops…so good.  For their full menu, click here.

Later on in the day after a full day of shopping on the Island, I enjoyed cocktails at the Rooftop O Bar currently the only rooftop bar in LBI. The Rooftop O Bar at Daddy O was named one of the top ten rooftop bars in America by The Daily Meal.

In addition to cocktails, which can be served by the glass or in a fishbowl, the roof top bar also features freshly made sushi!

The roof top bar also features tables and lounge seating making it a comfortable place to enjoy a drink. Plus it’s open to the public, it’s not just for hotel guests!

Overall Daddy O was a fantastic spot to spend an overnight trip in LBI! So much you can do without leaving the hotel!
