Celebrate Oktoberfest at the Black Forest Inn in Stanhope
A Real Munich-like Oktoberfest Celebration Right Here in New Jersey!
Thinking about heading to Munich for the Oktoberfest celebration? You donât have to because the Black Forest Inn in Stanhope presents its own version of this popular event every Saturday & Sunday now until November 9th. The popular, award-winning German restaurant is owned & operated by renowned Executive Chef, Heinz Aichem, Head Chef Heinrich Aichem and Barbara Aichem Koster, restaurant manager. Their Oktoberfest celebration features the finest German fare, imported beers and live music by the most popular German artists in this area. It will be held every Saturday evening from 5 to 10pm and Sundays from 1 to 8pm.
A special menu has been created for the Oktoberfest celebration, according to the Aichem chefs. Start off with one of the Black Forest Inn’s tasty hot or cold appetizers followed by one of their delicious soups.
Featured Oktoberfest entrees will include a choice appetizers, entrees and desserts. The entrees include Marinated German Sauerbraten, Braised Beef Rouladen, Roasted Prime Rib au Jus, Glazed Smoked Loin of Pork, Free Range Roasted Pork, Oktoberfest Pork Schnitzel, Poached Salmon, Roasted Crispy Pork Shank, Schwäbische Maultaschen, Traditional Wienerschnitzel, Pork Paprika Rahm Schnitzel, Jägerschnitzel, Housemade Bratwurst with Sauerkraut, Veal Schnitzelette Gruyere, Braised Wild Boar in Riesling, Marinated Venison, Apples Cassis, Roasted Duck al’Orange and more.
As always, the Black Forest Inn offers a fabulous selection of imported German beers in the tradition of Oktoberfest. You can also complement your entrees with one of their imported German wines.

About the Black Forest Inn:
Since opening to great fanfare in 1978, three generations of the Aichem family have set the tone for fine European dining with a German accent. The family patriarch, Chef Heinz Aichem was born in Germany and directed restaurant kitchens in Germany, Paris, the famous Hotel Savoy, and The Manor in West Orange prior to opening his own facility. His son, Heiner Aichem, also mastered his culinary skills in Germany & France and now guides his two sons, Hans and Heinrich, in the Black Forest Inn kitchen.
