Woodford Cedar Run Invites Community to Wildlife Baby Shower on February 7

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is inviting the community to come together for its annual Wildlife Baby Shower on Saturday, February 7, from 1–3 PM at The Farmstead at Medford.

The family-friendly event helps prepare the organization for the spring influx of wildlife, when thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned animals arrive in need of care. In 2025 alone, Woodford Cedar Run treated more than 7,700 animals—the highest number in its history—making community support more important than ever.

Guests can enjoy light bites, kids’ games, raffle baskets, crafts, and special appearances by live, non-releasable wildlife ambassadors. Presenting sponsors for the event include The Farmstead at Medford and Raising Cane’s, with additional support from Ultimutt Bestie and Country Pet Lodge.

Admission is free for Farmstead residents, and free for all guests who bring an item from Woodford Cedar Run’s wishlist for each member of their party (a minimum $5 cash donation per guest may be made at the door in place of a wishlist item).

Most-needed donation items include paper towels, tissues, bleach, laundry detergent, large bath towels, trash bags, vinyl or nitrile gloves, and gift cards from Tractor Supply, RodentPro, Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart.

For those unable to attend, donations of goods are always accepted at Woodford Cedar Run’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital, located at 6 Sawmill Road in Medford (open daily from 9 AM to 4 PM). Additional drop-off locations are available throughout South Jersey, including Mystical Blossoms (Marlton), House Finch (Collingswood), Lower Forge Brewery (Medford), Inkwood Books (Haddonfield), Love Thy Nature Refillery (Medford), Honey Post (Medford Lakes), Sunflour Bakery (Marlton), Radwell (Willingboro), EarthWise Pet Voorhees, The Refill Market (Haddon Township), Acentus Practice Management (Mt. Laurel), Farm Truck Brewing (Medford), Ted’s Terrain (Medford), Whims Brewing (Atco), Medford Florist, A Wild Bird Oasis (Medford), The Farmstead at Medford, and Cross Keys Animal Hospital (Williamstown).

The Wildlife Baby Shower offers a meaningful way for families and animal lovers to support local wildlife while enjoying an afternoon of fun—helping ensure Woodford Cedar Run is ready to care for every wild patient that comes through its doors this season.
