Catsbury Park Convention Returns April 13 & 14!
When the unconventional cat convention, CATSBURY PARK CAT CONVENTION (CPCC) promised it would return bigger and better for its second anniversary, they were not exaggerating. Set for April 13 and 14, 2019 in Asbury Park, NJ, CPCC is proud to unveil its first round of paw-dropping announcements, including feline celebrities, celebrated humans, and impactful organizations.
Bringing together an all-star lineup from Cat World: Celebrity Cats, adoptable felines, DJs, games, activities, art, vendors, presentations, seminars, comedians, tattoos, tasty vegetarian food, CPCC will be ushering a much larger weekend event on April 13 and 14, 2019. With more venues to allow more attendees to interact with the cats for adoption, the goal of CPCC is to both find forever homes for our lovely feline friends as well as host seminars about rescue, kitten care, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and more.
For the first time since 2015, you can catch Lil Bub‘s Big SHOW – LIVE! presented by Scoop Away headlining the Catsbury Park Cat Convention (CPCC) in Asbury Park, NJ (April 13th – 14th). Scoop Away is proud to partner with Lil BUB and join her mission to spread positivity, acceptance, love and animal welfare awareness.
In her biggest show yet, Lil BUB will be bringing the tough questions to three entertainment luminaries — Comedian, actor, and musician, Fred Armisen, known for his tenure on Saturday Night Live, the hit show Portlandia, and as the band leader on Late Night with Seth Meyers — Musician, producer, engineer, and journalist Steve Abini, known best for his work on unparalleled albums like Nirvana’s In Utero, Pixies’ Surfer Rosa, and The Breeders’ Pod — Lead guitarist and co-vocalist for The Breeders, Kelley Deal — And renowned bassist Blasko who is currently part of Ozzy Osbourne’s band and has previously performed with Danzig and Rob Zombie.
Additional headliners for the convention include Kitten Lady a.k.a. Hannah Shaw, Klaus, Stache, Sir Thomas Truehart. On top of that, CPCC parties on April 12th and 13th at The Wonder Bar will feature musical acts including The Cure tribute supergroup THE LOVE CATS featuring members of THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM / DEAD SWORDS (Alex Levine, guitar/keys), THE LOVED ONES/THE EXPLOSION (Chris Gonzalez, bass), and founder of Catsbury Park DJ Bornschein on guitar and vocals, LIL BUB: THE BAND, TRAGEDY: ALL METAL TRIBUTE TO THE BEE GEES AND BEYOND and COUGRR
The Catsbury Park Cat Convention is proudly hosted and organized by Catsbury Park, a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue based in Asbury Park and is honored to be partnered with The Brodie Fund, Milo’s Sanctuary, Jersey Shore Animal Foundation, and the Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls as our chosen beneficiaries in 2019. As with the 2018 event, 100% of the profits will be donated to Catsbury Park and our partner charities.
