Caldwell Restaurant Week Kicks Off August 10th

The Caldwell Restaurant Week begins August 10th, 2014 at participating restaurants. This is the first restaurant week for Caldwell, NJ.

Caldwell Restaurant Week will run from from Sunday, August 10th through Sunday, August 17th, 2014. Most of the borough’s restaurants will join the fun with special prix-fixe menus that showcase the culinary diversity of this West Essex community. Caldwell’s restaurant and food scene has been a well guarded secret in the Garden State but Devil Gourmet is looking to change all of that as we’ve signed up to be the official media sponsor of Caldwell Restaurant Week.

The idea of a summer restaurant week sounds a bit contrary because “everyone goes on vacation in the summer” but how many of know anyone who summers for the entire season? Organizers understand that there most of the community, and surrounding communities, are in town, yet very few special events are planned.With longer days making evening strolls before and after dinner possible, following Bloomfield’s lead of a summer restaurant week made perfect sense.

Caldwell Restaurant Week will showcase the diversity of dining scene with the cuisine of Spain, Italy, France, Japan and of course several variations and spins on American favorites in the spotlight. By the time August rolls around the variety is sure to be even greater! We already know that Devil Gourmet favorites Xuntas Tapas, Rockin Joe’s, and Dough will be participating. There is also a new place opening up this summer right in the center of town – that owner is excited to be a part of this event.
