Boonton’s 13th Annual Classic Car Show – Sunday, August 23rd, 2015

Boonton Main Street, Inc. will be hosting its 13th annual Classic Car Show on August 23rd from 2-6 pm on Main Street in Boonton. Over 200 classic and custom cars will be on display along Main Street bringing automobiles and spectators from all over the tri-state area. Trophies will be awarded to cars 1988 and older at 5:30 pm that evening in front of the Holmes Library (621 Main Street). Over 60 trophies will be awarded on the day of the event including the People’s Choice Car, Best MOPAR Car and Mayor’s Choice Car.

This year registration will again be in the Sleepy’s parking lot (off Woonton Street), in the Wal-Mart plaza to ease congestion on Main Street. All day-of and pre-registered participating cars will convene there to be escorted to their places on Main Street.

There will be DJ music, the Boonton Main Street 50/50 raffle, WMTR 1250 AM broadcasting live from the event, the MetLife Snoopy in front of Coastal Financial Group (608 Main Street), blood pressure screenings provided by the Boonton Kiwanis First Aid Squad, the Boonton Fire Department Carnival 50/50 raffle, and a variety of vendors!

Main Street will be closed from Division Street to Hill Street to provide for a pedestrian district the day of the event. Parking will be available in the Kiwanis Lot, Division Street Lot, and at the Train Station/American Legion Lot. The police will be blocking off Main Street just above Division Street, but Upper Plane Street will be accessible via Division Street.

“I’m very excited for this years show. It is our 13th year and we have been working hard to make sure all participants and spectators have a great time,” said Boonton Main Street Inc. Board President, Patti Bujtas. “The reason our show is different from others is that we literally close down the entire Main Street for traffic and it becomes a pedestrian mall with the coolest cars around!” This year, Boonton Main Street is expecting nearly four thousand attendees from the greater NY/NJ metropolitan area.
