Official Press Release:

Boonton Main Street, Inc. will host First Friday Late Night: Go Red along Main Street in Boonton on Friday, February 6, from 5-9 PM. The theme for February’s First Friday will be in honor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women National Wear Red Day for women’s heart health. Go Red for Women is a movement across the US to encourage women to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

This evening is a great opportunity to experience Main Street’s unique shops, amazing art galleries, and fabulous restaurants. Visitors can enjoy dining, shopping, art galleries, sales, specials, live music, and entertainment as they stroll Boonton’s historic downtown district.

First Friday Late Night: Go Red is sponsored by Saint Clare’s Health System, which has hospitals in Boonton Township, Denville, and Dover, and other facilities located throughout Morris and Sussex counties. Saint Clare’s will be offering heart magnets for the event that will be available at the Boonton Main Street office (620 Main Street).

“Saint Clare’s Health System is pleased to support Boonton Main Street’s First Friday Go Red, which highlights the importance of cardiovascular care, especially among women in the United States,” said Stephanie Galloway, spokeswoman for Saint Clare’s Health System. “At Saint Clare’s, the community has access to advanced cardiovascular services, including catheterization lab, 24/7 Primary Stroke Center, and emergency angioplasties, as well as education and support.”

“We love that we are kicking off 2015 First Fridays with Saint Clare’s Health System as our sponsor for February Go Red,” said Boonton Main Street Executive Director, Chris Manzella. “We are honored that we have such a pillar of the community as our sponsor, which was recently recognized with an “A” grade by The Leapfrog Group for the sixth consecutive time for patient safety.”

Go Red pins will be for sale at the Boonton Main Street office, with donations benefitting The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Visitors to Boonton Main Street during First Friday Late Night are encouraged to wear red and to share photos on social media using the hashtag #BoontonGoRed and #BoontonFF.

First Friday Late Nights are a monthly program put on by Boonton Main Street, Inc. to provide retailers and the community a venue to convene to share in the joy of all that the Boonton Main Street district has to offer. It continues the year long sentiment of Shop Small that has become the mantra of downtown shopping districts across the US.
