The Associated Humane Societies (AHS) and Popcorn Park Animal Refuge are dedicated organizations focused on the care, protection, and adoption of animals in need. AHS, founded in 1906, is New Jersey’s largest animal sheltering system, operating multiple facilities to provide refuge, medical care, and rehabilitation for abandoned, injured, and abused animals. Their mission is to promote the humane treatment of all animals through rescue efforts, advocacy, and community outreach programs.

Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, part of the AHS network, was established in 1977 as a sanctuary for domestic and exotic animals that have been neglected, abused, or cannot be released back into the wild. Located in Forked River, New Jersey, Popcorn Park is home to a wide variety of animals, including tigers, bears, birds, farm animals, and pets. Visitors to Popcorn Park can meet these animals, many of which have heartwarming rescue stories, and support their care through donations or adoption efforts.

Both AHS and Popcorn Park work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals, advocating for the protection of animals through legislation and education while providing a safe haven for creatures in need.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the rescued animals and ongoing rescue efforts of the Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, ensuring that your participation directly supports animal welfare in the community.
