B Swarm Tournament Hosted by Garden State Rollergirls – Nov 21
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21st, the Garden State Rollergirls’ host the finale of a season-long battle to be the best B-team in New Jersey!
This fall teams all over New Jersey have battled it out in an epic B-Team showdown. The first games were hosted by Garden State Rollergirls on August 15th. The second round on September 19th at Jerzey Derby Brigade’s venue in Morristown, NJ. Shore Points Roller Derby hosted the third set of games on October 3rd down in Hammonton, NJ. The final match-up will return to GSR’s venue in North Arlington on November 21st in a nail-biting championship double header.
Game One: Jersey Shore’s Beat Down will take on Shore Points’ Boardwalk Brawlers to determine 3rd and 4th place in the tournament.
Game Two: Jerzey Derby Brigade’s Corporal Punishers will take on the Garden State Brick City Bruisers to determine the tournament champion.
The bout will be held at the Inline Skating Club of America (ISCA) at 170 Schuyler Avenue, North Arlington, NJ 07031. Doors open at 6:15 P.M. and game one starts at 7P.M. sharp. The event is open to all ages. Tickets can be purchased at the door ($15 for adults, half price for kids under 10, free for kids under 3), online at a discounted rate ($10 for adults, $5 for kids under 10) or from your favorite rollergirl.
About Garden State Rollergirls
The Garden State Rollergirls are New Jersey’s premier women’s flat track roller derby league, with approximately 60 skaters and volunteers representing Hudson, Union, Middlesex, and Bergen counties. The league consists of two traveling teams, the all-star Ironbound Maidens and the B-team, the Brick City Bruisers. In addition, there are two home teams, the Northern Nightmares and the Jersey City Bridge and Pummel, who bout against each other throughout the season.
GSR is in Division 2 of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and ranked 92 out of 225 national and international teams.
