Beer for Heroes – Dec 4
Rinn Duin Brewing has teamed up with Hometown Heroes to bring you a premier tasting event. Rinn Duin is brewing an exclusive beer that will only be available at this event for sampling and purchase called “Honey Hero Pale Ale.” Proceeds will be going to Hometown Heroes whose primary mission in the community is to help people in a crisis. Tickets are available for purchase online, and also at the brewery prior to this event. The official hashtag to use all over social media is #BeerForHeroes.
Tickets are $25.00 per person and will include beer sampling, brewery tour, buffet dinner, and prizes. You are not going to want to miss this event!

Merry Go-Go Shoppa-Palooza – Dec 5

DerpyCon – Dec 5 – 7
DerpyCon is a multi genre sci fi convention, celebrating the culture of science fiction, fantasy, animation, and beyond. DerpyCon 2014 will be located at the Hyatt Morristown in Morristown, NJ. The weekend event will have panels, LARPs, concerts, video gaming, cosplay, vendors, dances, table-top gaming, AMVs, and more!

Lake Mohawk German Christmas Market – Dec 6 & 7
2014 will be the 13th year of the Market and we continue to see expansion of vendors, entertainment and authentic German food again this year. The Lake Mohawk Country Club has embraced the market and utilized further real estate down the boardwalk area in addition to the Ballroom and the Papoose room for vendors to sell their quality wares. The entertainment venues will once more be both indoors and outdoors as visitors will be serenaded by various local groups lakeside. Come and enjoy this years festivities and consider using the Park & Ride option – since there will be a charge for premium parking at the Lake Mohawk Country Club car parking lot. Santa Paws – Dec 7
A fundraising event by Holisticat Rescue and Rehabilitation and Homeless Animal Lifeline, hosted by South Brunswick Animal Hospital. 100% of the proceeds to benefit homeless animals. Pet photos with Santa, giveaways, cats and kittens for adoption, Ugly Sweater Contest for dogs!!, baked good, beverages, and merchandise for sale! We will be accepting donations of cat supplies (food, litter, toys, beds, etc.).

Coming Home Rescue Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast – Dec 7
Coming Home Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue organization, will host a Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast at Applebee’s®, 435 Route 46 East, Dover, NJ, on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 8am-10am to help raise funds to continue to save homeless animals. The cost is $10 per adult and $6 for children 6 and under. The meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and a choice of beverage (coffee, juice, soda or tea). Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by contacting Coming Home Rescue at 1-888-405-7221 or info@cominghomerescue.org. Tickets are also available at adoption events which are held nearly every Saturday in Morris, Essex and Passaic Counties. Santa will be in attendance at the breakfast and patrons interested in having a photo with him should bring a camera. Hand decorated Christmas ornaments ($7 each or two for $12) and iPad Air raffle tickets ($5 each) will also be available for purchase. Wayne Toy and Collectible Show – Dec 7
The Wayne NJ Toy and Collectibles Show, which began in 1991, is New Jersey’s longest running toy collectibles show. There are many things you can find at the show: Toys, Comics, Sports Cards, Sports Memorabilia and Autographs, Small Antiques, Action Figures, Movie Posters-Memorabilia and Autographs, Die-Cast-Cars, Trucks and Planes, Books and Magazines, Dime Store Toys, Gumball Machine and Vending Prizes, Trains, Dolls, DVD’s, Star Wars, PEZ, Corgi, Gi Joe, Hot Wheels, Mego, Barbi, Original Art, Vintage Military, Cap Guns, Monster, Sci-Fi and Horror Items and so much more.
It is held the first Sunday of every month, unless there is a holiday conflict. It is a $2 fee to get in, or free for kids under 12.
