Celebrate Dad this Weekend in New Jersey with These 7 Ideas
This year Father’s Day is a little bit different, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be celebrating all the great dads in our life. Jersey! With the state’s recent openings and activities going on, there’s plenty of things to do this weekend with the family. Whether it’s getting some vitamin D outside, ordering take out from your favorite places, visiting a winery, or brewery….there’s plenty of ways to liven things up this weekend.

Visit an Outdoor Winery
Take a relaxing day to explore a NJ winery. With plenty of places with outdoor seating and the vibe being kid-friendly, this is the perfect way to spend the day. Check out your local winery like Laurita Winery in New Egypt or Four Sisters Winery in Belvidere who are hosting Father’s day events. Take a Hike
If your dad loves the great outdoors, take a trip to one of our state parks for a hiking trip. There are so many beautiful trails in New Jersey including the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area, Palisades Interstate Park, or High Point State Park to name a few.
Go to the Beach
The beaches are open! Social distancing at the beach and the boardwalk is a great Summer tradition and one that dad will enjoy on his special day. Hit your local beach or travel to one you’ve never been before.

Have you been missing your favorite restaurant? Dine al fresco! A lot of restaurants have opened up to allow outdoor dining. Take dad out for the day and treat him to a meal.
Stay in and Order Take Out
Or stay in (especially if the weather isn’t great). Make it a fun night filled with games or movies. Can’t go wrong.
Take in a Drive-in Movie
Since you can’t go to a theater, why not visit a drive-in movie theater. You can check out NJ’s only drive-in theater, the Delsea Drive-In, or pick from one of the popup movie theaters in a town near you.
