Celebrate Outdoor Sculpture Month in Haddonfield
All April Long

Celebrate 4th Annual ‘April is Haddonfield (NJ) Sculpture Month’ – and Celebrate International Sculpture Day on April 30. Join the festivities for the 4th annual “April is Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Month” with fun for all ages. Tour nearly two dozen figurative and abstract sculptures, meet sculptors, watch a live casting of a famous bust of Camden poet Walt Whitman, take a guided or self-guided tour, and more.

Allentown Daffodil Days Festival
March 26 through April 3

A parade at noon on March 26th kicks off a full slate of more than 30 activities (many free) and boutique shop specials. Master gardeners will answer your questions and you can meet Revolutionary War heroine Molly Pitcher while enjoying the blooms. Take a “spin” in an indoor forest or a self-guided tour of the local scenic countryside. Savor a chocolate creation of your own making and create daffodil-themed craft projects worthy of your talents. From awe-inspiring tales of colonial times to a bike parade, art contest and walks through Allentown’s Heritage Park to enjoy a timeless story of Spring or support cancer research, there’s something for everyone.

Celebrate the start of WheatonArts’ creative season with this free kick-off event highlighting our many daily offerings and hands-on programming! We invite visitors to engage with our new Glass Studio Director and Netflix Star, Alex Rosenberg, who will demonstrate the use of glass and water to create optical lenses. Explore thought-provoking exhibits in the Museum of American Glass and Down Jersey Folklife Center, showcasing glass collections and the complexities and values of traditional arts through modern-day times. Experience various artist demonstrations throughout the campus, including pottery, paper art, broom making, large-scale murals, and more. Discover a series of hands-on projects to create, including pine-needle basket making, macrame rope keychains, and glass-fused magnets in the Education Studio. Enjoy a bite to eat from a selection of food vendors and listen to live musical compositions by Matt Schwarz.

Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival
April 9, 12PM – 4PM

Come out for a day of free, educational, family fun at the Red Bank Battlefield’s Spring Festival. The Revolutionary War-era James & Ann Whitall House museum will be open for tours. Red Bank Battlefield was the scene of a decisive battle, and battlefield tours will be ongoing as well. There will be demonstrations of Colonial Lifeways including Hearth Cooking, Spinning, Weaving, Candle Dipping, Wool Dyeing, and Goat Milking. Free petting zoo, games, and crafts for kids. Presentations on Colonial Technology and A Child’s Life. Levram The Great, Colonial Conjuror will be performing his magic. Folk music will be performed by Cynthia Smith. Grayrock N Roll Spring Festival

April 30

A family-friendly one day folk festival featuring three stages of music, dancing, craft vendors, children’s activities, and food. This year’s theme is “On the Move: Transportation and Migration” which highlights ideas of transportation, migration, and life in motion. This festival is not only for fun but it serves to educate people on the culture and history of traditional indigenous people, multicultural forms, and artists in New Jersey. It showcases the folk tradition and aspires to share it with the younger generations.

The Galloway Arts Festival will feature music, dance and visual arts over the course of the day on April 30 throughout the Smithville Village. Guests will be able to follow a master schedule of performances, led by the Absegami performing arts, and enjoy some interactive activities as well. Join Smithville as the community comes together to celebrate the arts in the forms of jazz, choir, brass bands, theater, dance, drumming and more. Rain date for this event is May 1st.

Bordentown City PorchFest
April 30, 12PM – 5PM

This family event features musicians of all genres and styles playing free shows on porches throughout the City. Attendees are invited to stroll from porch to porch and relax on front lawns and sidewalks as they enjoy live, local talent. Neighbors offer their porches where performers volunteer their talents. They pair the two and performances are held throughout the City. A PorchFest guide listing host porches and performance schedules will be available before the event.
