Here is my official Holiday and Christmas Lights in New Jersey Guide. My goal this season – to see as many Christmas light displays as possible! One Day Only & Limited Time Events

Festival of Trees
Now – December 8

Celebrate the holiday season at our annual Festival of Trees, featuring a beautiful display of decorated trees, wreaths and centerpieces donated from members of the community. The Festival opens the day after Thanksgiving and runs through Sunday December 9th, corresponding with Dickens Days in town.

Wall Twp Christmas Light Show
December 7 & 14, 6:30PM and 8:30PM, December 15, 5:45PM and 7:30PM

The Christmas Light Show returns for the 2019 Christmas season for its 12th year. The Christmas Light Show’s tradition of charity will also continue; Raising4 will be collecting donations in appreciation of the show to support RallyCap Sports (Formally Challenged Youth Sports), www.rallycapsports.org. The show is free, however we suggest donations of $25 for a family of 4 and $10 for an individual adult. In past years fans have donated tens of thousands of dollars to RallyCap Sports each year.

Lights and Carols for a ‘Claus
December 15, 7PM – 8PM
The Iantosca Family invites the community to enjoy their incredible lights display to kick off the holiday season. This event is fun for the whole family and is for a great cLause! In addition to the lights and decorations on the front lawn, Joe and Joanne Iantosca will be joined by Howell HS Rebel Yell and the Rebellettes and most importantly Mr. & Mrs. Claus all the way from the North Pole!

Christmas Light Show Hayrides

Thousands of twinkle lights to create a Holiday Wonderland in the Discovery Barnyard and Animal farm. To complete your holiday experience they will also have a campfire going to roast marshmallows and make s’ mores. Plus, lights on the lake!

Adventure Aquarium Christmas Celebration
Now through December 30
Experience the magic of the holiday season deep beneath the surface during Christmas Underwater from Friday, November 23 thru Sunday, December 30. See the World’s Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree, Snow Shower Dance Parties and more. Children can share their wishes with Scuba Santa by dropping their personalized letters in a special mailbox in Ocean Realm.

Skylands Stadium Christmas Lights Show

Storybook Land hosts this fabulous holiday celebration, with Santa himself illuminating the lights. This magnificent display features over one millions lights! Holiday Lights Trolley Ride

Take a trip down to the Historic District of Cape May to see some of the most beautifully decorated houses and inns in New Jersey! Take a trolley ride through the Historic District to see the Victorian-style houses and inns decorated for the holidays. Tours begin at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth at Ocean Street. Purchase tickets at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth, at the Carriage Horse or at Hill House Office. Check their website for dates and times. Turtle Back Zoo Holiday Lights
Now– December 31

About 50 animal and holiday-themed figures will light up the winter night in Turtle Back Zoo and the surrounding Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex. Over 100,000 lights will illuminate figures of bears, tigers and elephants, along with holiday lights designed to look like wooden soldiers, stars and winter scenes. Several animal exhibits will be open, including the Sea Lion Sound, Essex Farm, Tam-ring Gibbons Reserve, Tropical Currents Aquarium and the Reptile Building. Myrtle the Turtle, the mascot of Turtle Back Zoo, and several of his winter friends will be on hand to greet visitors at the Zoo. “Selfies” with Santa Claus and a mailbox where children can send letters to Santa Clause at the North Pole will be available each night until December 23rd.

Holiday in the Park

Holiday In the Park will run November weekends and select days through January 1, 2018. Millions of glittering lights, dazzling holiday entertainment, delicious seasonal treats, Santa’s village, animals and many popular rides will magically transform the summer thrill destination into a winter wonderland, and will be included with all season passes and active memberships. Stunning light shows, illuminated, towering trees, the iconic smell of fresh pine and crisp peppermint filling the air and festive street vendors offering sweet and savory treats will provide a multi-sensory journey of winter delights. Kids can join Santa in his workshop for a fun photo opportunity. A new entertainment program will feature a tree lighting spectacular, grand stage production, live carolers and a nightly awe-inspiring finale. Regardless of the weather forecast, a touch of magic will ensure that snowflakes fall gently every evening.

Magic of Lights
Now –  January 4, 2020
Magic of Lights is a mile-long drive-through exhibit located at the PNC Bank Arts Center. Pay by the car in advance (for discounts) or at the gate, or snag a Dash Pass to jump the line. New for 2019 is the Toyota Jolly Holiday Village,  where you can leave the cars to watch enormous Christmas trees synchronized to music or visit the free petting zoo (select weeknights). For additional fees, you can  go ice skating, take photos with Santa (available before Christmas Eve; after that, the Grinch takes over!), roast marshmallows, decorate cookies, enjoy hot chocolate, and more.

Winter Walk in Taylor Park
Now – January 2020

The, follow the lights through a path of handmade snowflakes, courtesy of local Boy Scout Troop 15. The trees along the path are wrapped in lights, the enormous polar bear is the perfect setting for family photos, and the bridge is adorned with hundreds of lights that reflect into the stream that runs along the Main Street section of the park. Continue your stroll along the Main Street entrance, over the bridge near the Bauer Center and then head for hot chocolate or dinner at your choice of numerous restaurants.

Historic Smithville Holiday Light Show

The Craft Farm Christmas Light Show
Now – January 2020
The Craft Farm Christmas Light Show was created to spread the joy and happiness of Christmas through colorful musical displays. The show runs every year between Black Friday and January 8th and features four Christmas season related songs totaling about 16 minutes in length. The show is completely and totally free, and anyone/everyone is invited to come and see it. The music is played over the radio on channel 88.5FM so guests don’t even have to leave the comfort of their vehicles. The show does not run in the rain, but it does run in the snow.
