Trucktoberfest – Sept 13

Usher in the fall with a special Oktoberfest Celebration…Food Trucktoberfest featuring a German Beer Garden! Rahway Bands and Brews – Sept 13

The Rail House and Union County Performing Arts Center will be hosting the first annual Rahway Bands and Brews. A combination of independent rock bands and highly rated craft beers. This year’s brewery sponsors are Lagunitas, Smuttynose,  Abita and Founders.

The event will take place in front of the Rahway Train Station on Saturday, September 13th 2014.  There will be two sound stages with 10 bands and continuous music all afternoon. Concessions including food trucks, arts and crafts and local businesses will also be staged within the party grounds. New Jerseyans will quench their thirst on original sounds and suds while enjoying the festive atmosphere of Rahway’s Arts District. The event is being organized by the Rail House Bar located at 1443 Irving St, Rahway.

The bands on this top notch roster include Graveyard Lovers, The Ugly Club, DEVI, The Downrights, Modern Chemistry, XNY, The Rooftop, Brien McVernon and the Blackouts, Gay Guy/Straight Guy and Harley Black.  The event will be hosted by Khalil Kairos and many special guests are expected.

Bordentown City Craft Beer and Wine Festival – Sept 13

The Second Annual Bordentown City Craft Beer and Wine Festival:Enjoy a Taste of New Jersey’s fine crafted Wines and Beers. This 2nd Annual event focuses on the best crafted wines and beers in New Jersey! This is also a fundraiser to help restore Old City Hall. The festival was created for individuals to experience the fine eateries of Bordentown City’s restaurant row and stroll through the boutiques and galleries of our charming city.  Tickets will be available for purchase on August 15th

Opening Reception for Nexus at Arts Guild NJ – Sept 14

Arts Guild New Jersey is pleased to present “Nexus”, an International Juried exhibition. This exhibit will feature 40 artists from New Jersey, New York, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, and Washington DC. The juror for the Nexus show was Dorrie Papademetriou, who is currently the Director of Exhibitions & Collections at the Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, New Jersey. The exhibition, which opens on September 14th and runs through October 9th, 2014 will have a free, public reception on Sunday, September 14th, 1-4 PM, at Arts Guild New Jersey, 1670 Irving Street, Rahway, NJ 07065. Gallery Hours are Mon-Thurs 10am-3pm, Fri: 10am to 1pm, Sat & Sun: 1-4pm or by appointment for groups of 10 or more. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible.
