Udderly Delightful: A Visit to Udder Chaos Farm Sanctuary
Udder Chaos Farm Sanctuary, a 501c3 Farm Sanctuary, was established to provide a haven for once-beef cattle. The farm and its volunteers enable cows and rescued goats to experience their best lives.
Through acts of kindness and compassion, Udder Chaos raises awareness and strives to change perspectives on the humane treatment of all animals. Established in 2021, Udder Chaos Farm Sanctuary is a home for animals facing uncertainty. Their mission is to promote universal kindness through education, and interaction, and to be a voice for the voiceless.
The sanctuary originated as an expression of love, emerging from a sense of urgency. In 2021 a destructive fire engulfed a cattle farm in Wrightstown, consuming all the hay, demolishing the hay barn, and tragically taking the life of the owner/operator. In the absence of anyone to oversee the 10 cattle on the farm, Danielle Mania, a family friend of the farmer, and her boyfriend Jarrett took on the responsibility of caring for the animals.
Drawing on her background in animal welfare (dogs, cats and small farm animals), Danielle couldn’t bear to witness the cows being sent to auction. In a proactive move, she initiated Udder Chaos by assuming the care of the 10 cattle on the property, embracing the chaos of learning to take care of them in the process. Unbeknownst to her, all the females were pregnant, leading to the rapid expansion of the sanctuary to include 16 cows.
During my visit, Danielle and her boyfriend, Jarrett, provided me with a tour. Jarrett handles many of the behind-the-scenes tasks such as operating the tractor and building fences. Together with a handful of volunteers, they manage the 17-acre farm during their free time when they are not working their full-time jobs.
I was immediately greeted by Aja, their resident “grass puppy”, who asked for head rubs. Other friendly faces include (but are not limited to) Bruce, Harvey, Star Child, Huey, Matilda, and more. Feeding them treats was a real treat for me!
Upon assuming control of the farm, Danielle not only acquired the responsibility for the cows but also inherited Gary the goat (a real character!). They have since rescued other goats like Molly, Lily, Thorn, Clover, Petal , Leaf, and Petal.
Just like the cows, they were surprised to learn that Petal was pregnant when she arrived at the farm. Thorn, Lily, and Leaf were all born at the sanctuary.
If you fall in love with any of these animals, you can sponsor them! A monthly donation directly contributes to the well-being of the animals they nurture. Having supporters help with offering essential support, care, and love to all the animals at the sanctuary.

Udder Chaos is our passion project, combining our drive to save all animals and our dedication to making this farm a sanctuary for all beings.”
