The First New Jersey Isn’t Boring Event – The Rail House, Sun, October 19th, 2014
Yesterday, I got to be a part of a weekly event at the Rail House in Rahway called “Soft Sounds and Creative Wonders”. This is a weekly event run by the Rail House every Sunday at 5pm till close. Yesterday I was there representing New Jersey Isn’t Boring along with 3 artists whose work represents NJ. Those three artists were Chris Ernst, Corey Hudson, and Scott Modrzynski.
About the artists who were there: Chris Ernst from New Brunswick has pop culture art inspired by NJ, Corey Hudson takes refurbished wood from Hurricane Sandy and transforms it into art, and Scott Modrzynski aka Mojoswork takes the state shape and turns in into something awesome (among other things).
Check out Chris on Website, Facebook, Instagram and Etsy.

We had a decent turn out for a Sunday night! The event was really laid back, the food was great, lots of craft beer on tap AND there was a fire pit with live music outside. The Rail House is in a really nice downtown area of Rahway, so if you find yourself there I recommend stopping by for drinks and food. I got a “Rosalita” burger (guac, pico di gallo) and it was fantastic…and not photographed because I ate it. Oops.
I’m in talks to do another event there in the near future…so keep an eye out for that!
You should check out Soft Sounds and Creative Wonders. They do it every Sunday. As I mentioned…super laid back. Like the Rail House on Facebook to check out upcoming events!
Address: 1443 Irving St, Rahway, NJ
Cost: Free to attend. I recommend getting drinks and dinner at the restaurant. AWESOME menu
