My Tour of Flyish Fish Brewing Company
This past weekend I got a chance to go to Somerdale and check out Flying Fish Brewing Company.
I had actually never been on a brewery tour before, so this was definitely a cool experience.
Once you get inside the brewery, they have a tasting room that only serves Flying Fish on tap. This is also the location where you sign up for a tour. In addition to the tasting room they also have an outdoor beer garden which I would think would be a cool spot to hang out if you’re in the area.
We got a tour with Robin Tama, one of the co-founders of Flying Fish. She gave a great tour of the facility and an overall history of Flying Fish. It was definitely cool seeing where the beer is made and learning about how it’s made. I only wish her cute dog Louis could have come with us! He chilled with us a little in the tasting room.
If you’re interested in taking a tour or just visiting the facility I highly recommend it. They are open from Wednesday through Friday from 3-8pm and on Saturday from 12-6 and Sunday 12-4. The tour is also FREE in case you were wondering.
After the tour we sampled beer and hung out for a little. My friends tried all 9 beers they currently have on tap. They are champs.
My husband and I sampled the Exit 4, Farm House Summer Ale, FU Sandy and the Extra Pale Ale.

I also really recommend checking out the gift shop before you leave. My husband and I left with a pint glass (for $3!) and a cool license plate sign for our bar.
They also have kegs and growlers to take home as well.
Overall, a very cool experience. This small company works hard and they’re environmentally conscious. Support local business and local craft beer!
