Girls Night Out at A Little Bit of Cuba Dos in Freehold
Last week the girls and I got together at A Little Bit of Cuba Dos, in downtown Freehold. My friend, Val, was moving a way (traitor…just kidding) and we wanted to go to a nice place for a proper send off.
I had never been to the restaurant before, but I’ve always walked past it and remarked how nice it looked. The location is right in downtown Freehold, which is a great area for restaurants and bars. During the Summer they do a lot of events there, in fact when we were there Amish Outlaws were playing outside directly across the street!
The restaurant interior is beautiful. I would love to decorate my kitchen the same way.
The restuarant is a BYOB and you should definitely bring wine because they’ll make you sangria. On Thursdays they do a complimentary pitcher of Sangria (Thank you Facebook for letting me know!), so we took advantage of that.
My friend and I decided to split the Paella Cubana and it was definitely big enough for both of us. It was very, very good.
Even though we were full we decided to split the Empanada de Guayaba y Queso, a dessert empanada filled with cream cheese and guava with a side of sweet corn ice cream. SO good! I wanted to get my own pint of the ice cream to take home. It was definitely something different.
At the end of the night they give you your check in a Cuban cigar box which was cute. Here is a picture of Val holding it for ya’ll to see:
Overall it was a lovely evening. We’ll miss you Val! Come visit us in NJ soon!
People I would take here: Definitely a good date night place! You could also go here to celebrate an event. Girls night out. Etc..
Frequency of return: I’m a local, but considering the place is a little pricey I would not go as often as I may like.
