Diner Round Up – Hightstown Diner
Oh, Hightstown Diner. You are a treasure.
First, if you haven’t been to the Hightstown Diner…GO! It is easily one of my favorite diner in all of NJ. It’s even been featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. They make an awesome corned beef and hash.
Located in downtown Hightstown, this small diner is a local favorite. When I posted I was there on Instragram, so many people let me know how much they love it. They even have their own favorite diner waitresses.
What I like most about this diner is their menu, and especially their prices. They are so reasonable! For $10 I got an entree and a soup. And I left FULL.
Side note: If you can get over there for lunch, they literally have the cheapest week day lunch meals I have ever seen in my life.
I started with a matzoh ball soup, because it’s my favorite. They make an awesome matzoh ball soup, and it was perfect for a rainy day.
I decided on getting a chicken gyro sandwich which came with a Greek salad fries. GREAT fries too, I love me some steak fries. I definitely rate a diner on their fries. If you are clearly frozen fries than you need to reevaluate! The salad had great chunks of feta cheese. I was in heaven,
This diner makes homemade food, it’s cute, it’s cozy, and the food is amazing and reasonably priced! It’s also in a great area with local shops. Definitely check it out!
