Bergen County Zoo – Paramus, NJ
The Bergen County Zoo is an accredited member of The Association of Zoos and Aquariums. In July and August, live animal shows are held daily in our outdoor amphitheater – between the spider monkey and alligator exhibits. Shows are free with zoo admission, and seating is first-come, first-served. Check out the shows of the day as you enter the zoo.

Cape May County Zoo – Cape May, NJ
The zoo is a major attraction to the thousands of visitors to the shore and residents alike. Families who visit our zoo are always impressed by the lush country gardens, leisurely atmosphere and extensive natural environment. Animal lovers are impressed by our collection of over 550 critters, representing over 250 species. But above all we are proud of the conscientious care our animals receive from a dedicated and caring staff.

Cohanzick Zoo – Bridgeton, NJ
The Cohanzick Zoo, established in 1934, is New Jersey’s First Zoo. Located in the beautiful Bridgeton City Park, this little zoo is set on 15 acres and is home to approximately 100 animals.

Popcorn Park Zoo – Forked River, NJ
Popcorn Park Zoo was established in 1977 for the sole purpose of providing a refuge for wildlife that were sick, elderly, abandoned , abused, or injured, and which could no longer survive in its natural habitat. Over 200 of these animals and birds now live in spacious surroundings in the heart of the scenic Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey. You may be greeted at the gate by a gaggle of geese, but soon you will see a marvelous array of animals including an African lioness, tigers, mountain lions, a camel, emus, rheas. muntjacs, binturongs and more. Many different types of monkeys clamor for your attention in the monkey house, and the Zoo abounds with all kinds of native wildlife such as white-tailed and fallow deer, a bobcat, and American black bears. Farm animals such as horses, steer. sheep, pigs and goats often look for a handout, and reptiles and tortoises enjoy their own special house. In addition, you’ll find numerous species of birds have made themselves comfortable throughout the park.

Space Farm Zoo – Sussex, NJ
As you tour the wild friends and family at Space Farms, you will have the opportunity to visit and observe the Space Farms Zoo, which includes bobcats, tigers and lions, buffalo, hyena, wild ponies, timber wolves, various types of foxes, bears and deer, leopards, monkeys, jaguars, coyotes, llamas, yaks, snakes, and hundreds more. This private collection of North American wildlife is the largest in the world — even rare, exotic species thrive in the natural Space Farms environment.. The museum consists of the private collections of the zoo owners, ranging from antique automobiles to toys to old farm machinery and jars of pickled snakes. The zoo is open mid-April through end of October.

Turtle Back Zoo – West Orange, NJ
Turtle Back Zoo is a facility of the Essex County Parks Department. The zoo is funded by the County of Essex as a service to the residents of the County and the surrounding areas. The Zoological Society of NJ, Inc. is the fundraising branch of Turtle Back Zoo. The Society is a not for profit organization that helps to raise funds for improvements to Turtle Back Zoo. Located on 20 acres in the beautiful South Mountain Reservation, Turtle Back Zoo exhibits species from all 5 continents. Naturalistic exhibits located throughout the zoo’s landscaped grounds offer the perfect recreational and educational experience. Ride the zoo’s miniature train, play on the animal themed playground, take a spin on the carousel or catch an animal program, there is always adventure around every corner. Visitor amenities including free parking in the zoo lot, cafeteria, picnic area and a gift shop are available for your convenience.
