Date Night at Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Clifton
This past Friday the hubster and I got to go to Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Clifton for a very belated date night. We had both never been there before so we were looking forward to it.
The place has a very romantic atmosphere. I especially loved their wine bar, which is great for a quick drink, bite, happy hour etc.
When we arrived there, we were greeted by the GM, Brian, who was super friendly. Our table was very nice and romantic, this was our view:
If you’re unfamiliar with tapas, basically they’re small sharing plates. I had never been to an Italian tapas bar, so this was great so we could try a lot of different things off of the menu. Our waitress, Cindy was extremely helpful in helping us make decisions on what to eat/drink.
We started with 3 things to share: Seared tuna bruschetta, Arancini (risotto balls with peas, mozzarella and marinara, and truffle french fries! Nom nom nom
We ordered a half carafe of their Prosecco which they had on tap! There was A LOT of wine to choose from.
We decided to order MORE food. This time we ordered Calamari, Chicken Milanese and Patata Pizza (White pizza with bacon, potatoes, onions & rosemary). So good!
We couldn’t leave without dessert…so we ordered it most of it to go but ate some there before we left. We got nutella pizza (pictured) and Ciambelle which was their homemade doughnuts with dipping sauce.
People I would take here: Friends, business clients, date night! They have a big wine bar are if you’re just looking for a good happy hour or night out!
Frequency of return: It’s a far drive for me, but I would go as often as I’m in the area
